Liverpool become the first team to qualify for next season's champions league

The knockout stage of this season's Champions League hasn't even started yet - but holders Liverpool have already qualified for next year's competition.

Chelsea's failure to beat Manchester United on Monday night means the Premier League leaders have guaranteed a top-four finish.

Jurgen Klopp's side are 36 points above fifth-placed Tottenham with 12 games remaining.

But Spurs play Chelsea at the weekend, meaning that if Jose Mourinho's side did win all of their remaining games and Liverpool lost every one, Chelsea would only be able to reach 74 points and therefore finish behind Liverpool.

Liverpool have reached the last two Champions League finals and face Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Tuesday. They are the first team in Europe to secure their spot in the elite competition in European football for the 2020-21 season.
As it stands Manchester City are set to be banned from the Champions League next season, meaning that whoever finishes fifth will take their place in the competition.

Liverpool can, in theory, win their first Premier League title against Bournemouth on 7 March. That would require Liverpool to win all their matches in that time with Manchester City, and Leicester City in third, slipping up.

Manchester United hold the record for the earliest Premier League title win, with Sir Alex Ferguson's men claiming the trophy in 2000-01 on 14 April.

Son Heung-min to miss rest of season - Mourinho

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho does not expect Son Heung-min to play again this season and says the club's injury situation "couldn't be worse".

South Korea forward Son, 27, will have surgery this week after fracturing his arm during Sunday's 3-2 win at Aston Villa, in which he scored twice.

Tottenham are already without England striker Harry Kane, who tore his hamstring at Southampton in January.

"I'm not going to count on him again this season," said Mourinho.

Earlier on Tuesday, a Spurs statement said Son - who has scored in his past five matches for the club - would be sidelined for "a number of weeks" with the injury.

Mourinho added: "If he plays two or three games then it's because he [Tottenham's press officer] is very optimistic, and I hope he is right. But, in my mind, I'm not thinking about that.

"We are going to miss him. The club wrote a nice statement. If I was the one to write the statement, I would write different."

Son's absence means 27-year-old Brazilian Lucas Moura, 22-year-old Dutchman Steven Bergwijn, signed in January, and Republic of Ireland international Troy Parrott are Tottenham's only fit forwards, though Mourinho believes 18-year-old Parrott "is not ready" to play at senior level.

"The situation couldn't be worse. That is obvious," added the Portuguese. "There is nothing we can do. We are going to play with the players we have available.

"I was worried about not having attacking options on the bench, now I don't have attacking options on the pitch.

"My thoughts are that Troy Parrott is not ready and [19-year-old English winger] Ryan Sessegnon is not a striker.

"No strikers, no market. Nothing. The only help we can have is our crowd, the Tottenham supporters. That is the only thing I ask because to the players I cannot ask more than what they are giving."

Actress Rosario Dawson comes out as bisexual

Rosario Dawson has officially come out as bisexual, two years after people thought she had come out.

The 40-year-old actress was believed to be announcing her sexuality in 2018 when she posted a tweet that read, "Happy pride month! Sending love to my fellow lgbtq+ homies (sic)," but whilst she insisted that wasn't her intention at time, it is not untrue that she is bisexual but admits she has "never had a relationship in that space".

Commenting on the post, she told Bustle: "People kept saying that I [came out] ... I didn't do that. I mean, it's not inaccurate, but I never did come out come out. I mean, I guess I am now. I've never had a relationship in that space, so it's never felt like an authentic calling to me."

The Zombieland: Double Tap star is currently dating Senator Cory Booker and she recently confessed it felt "strange" at the possibility of being First Lady as Booker was running to be the Democrats' presidential candidate.

She gushed: "Yeah, it was definitely strange when I endorsed him because I felt like I was promoting people to vote for him, but really for me. I can definitely feel my grandmother in heaven smiling at the idea. My mom was a teenage mom and then all of a sudden she's validated with her daughter becoming an actress and then doing all of this community work and then on top of that, potentially being First Lady. Just the idea of it was really beautiful."

And Booker said last year he feels "very, very blessed" to be dating Dawson.

He explained: "As our relationship grows it's difficult, but she is such a deeply soulful person. And has taught me a lot of lessons about love already. Sometimes, you show the greatest strength when you make yourself vulnerable. She really has this nurturing spirit that has made me more courageous not just in the love that I project and want to see in our country, but I think in our own personal relationships to love more fearlessly. I'm very, very blessed to be with somebody that makes me a better person."

Rare pink grasshopper found in Texas woman’s garden

A Texas woman spotted a striking insect standing out against the backdrop of her garden Sunday – a pink grasshopper.

Angela Barger snapped a photo of the grasshopper at her home in southwest Austin, and come to find out, there aren’t many pink grasshoppers around.

Why are they pink? It’s a genetic mutation, Victoria Hillman with National Geographic says.

Hillman says the mutation is called erythrism, and it’s caused by a recessive gene similar to the one that affects albino animals. It’s unusual and not very understood, she says, even though it was discovered in katydids in 1887. The mutation typically happens in the common meadow grasshopper, Hillman says.

“This mutation results in one of two things happening or even a combination of the two; a reduce or even absence of the normal pigment and/or the excessive production of other pigments,” Hillman wrote in a blog for National Geographic.

It’s also not easy being pink. Hillman says many of the pink grasshoppers don’t make it to adulthood because predators can see them easier against plants.

An internet search revealed pink grasshoppers have been seen and documented in the United Kingdom, but hardly any came back as sightings in the United States.

Tonto Dikeh and Bobrisky snub Anita Joseph on her wedding despite being friends

Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky and Tonto Dikeh have both snubbed their friend Anita Joseph on social media after she shared wedding pictures.

Anita Joseph tied the knot with a man whom she claims many feel is not her level.

Unfazed by their opinion, the curvy actress shared lovely pictures she took with her husband on social media and got congratulatory messages from fellow celebs.

However, it was noticed that her close friends, Bobrisky and Tonto Dikeh, failed to wish her a happy married life nor shared her wedding pictures on their social media pages.

While Tonto Dikeh may be excuses for being busy with her son’s fourth birthday, nothing can be said to be the reason why Bobrisky failed to show Anita Joseph love on her birthday.

Well, maybe Bobrisky never had strong friendship with Anita Joseph like he does for Tonto Dikeh whom he recently opened up on what he will do if they ever had a disagreement.

“I was on my phone when Tonto took dis picture last night It’s so cute. Each time I post Tonto, I read lot of funny comments from some jobless fools, saying I’m waiting for d day both of you will fight. Yes, we might have disagreements because no man is perfect but trust me even if we have disagreements you will never hear pim from my mouth. Dis is a promise to you all waiting for d fight day.”

I have no regrets ditching Law to become a Socialite – Corazon Kwamboka

Kenyan lawyer turned socialite, Corazon Kwamboka has spoken up on the setbacks being in the limelight has cost her.

The bootyful businesswoman who graduated as an Advocate of the High Court from Kenya School of Law said socialism was by utter chance.

'I was in the Kenya School of Law when I decided to go for a shoot. I put them on social media and that is how I became a socialite. I have no regrets as much as I was a brilliant student, I also would not have wanted a 9 to 5 job. It worked out for good.'

The working hours did not jell well with her but she still practices Law. Though, seldom.

'I practice Law but rarely. Maybe once or twice a year.'

However, it was the world of fame that drove her into 'quitting' Law because of the negative picture it had already painted about her as a person.

'It made me not practice law. At the time, I felt like I was being misjudged. I just pulled back from the Law School because I was scared of looking for a job.'

Not just Law. Socialism sacrificed her relationships because men who came her way felt insecure, judging from her kind of reputation.

'It affected my relationships from when it happened. I have dated and the guys get insecure because of the comments on social media. They start being insecure a few months into the relationship.'

What of her enviable body?

'It's genetic, most of my family look like this so I started working out.'

Colonel Mustafa and Noti Flow reconcile after their nasty break up!

It appears that the two finally sat down to work on their issues after their nasty break up. It all started with one Trap King who came out to expose Mustafa as a gay guy; since he wanted to expose Nairobi Diaries management for not paying him.

Just a few days later Noti Flow also went on to ‘confirm’ the allegations about her ex-boyfriend! According to Noti Flow, Mustafa was living with his boyfriend in Utawala and would never allow her to visit his home.

Colonel Mustafa, however, distances himself from the claims saying that his lady was bitter! For the first time, he went on to reveal that Noti Flow had been physically abusing him to a point of leaving bite marks on his body.

But now it seems that they are back in each other’s lives and for those who thought this would never happen; remain silent and shocked.

Blood A’int Family- Tonto Dikeh Hits Back At Ex-Husband For Saying His Blood Runs Through Their Son’s Veins

A few days ago, Wiz Khalifa posed with Amber Rose’s current boyfriend together with Amber and their son Sebastian to mark his 7th birthday. Although they are not together, they are able to tolerate each other for the good sake of their son’s birthday.

When it comes down to Tonto Dikeh and her ex husband Dr. Olakunle Churchill, the situation is in its adverse. They have not been able to tolerate each other even with their innocent 4 years old in the middle.

Dr. Churchil has always maintained that his ex-wife has refused him the satisfaction of seeing their son although the court has granted him that he can see him in the presence of a nanny.

Tonto, on the other hand, says she is both the mother and father of King Andre hence she would not allow Olakunle to see him.

Yesterday been Andre’s 4th birthday, his father took to his IG page expressing his love for him and how he would always be there for him. He added that the same blood that runs through him runs through him too.

To set the record right, Tonto threw a little shade at Churchill, she says blood is nothing and it is not the only thing that can prove someone is family— she said this whilst praising King Andre’s nanny Ahmed in the process.

She wrote: “God bless you Ahm, for loving us and taking care of us as a package… Ahm, today you showed me that blood AINT FAMILY… We love you big baby/Uncle Ahmed… From Kingy and I.”

Presidential aspirant arrested for frauding the US government of over $26 million dollars

A Ghanaian-American surgeon based in Florida, Dr. Moses deGraft-Johnson has been fingered in a serious fraud case in the United States of America.

According to a court in the US where Dr. Moses is standing trial, he is said to have illegally stolen an amount of over $26 million dollars of United States government and medical insurers.

Narrating how it all happened in a 58-count indictment by a federal court, it was revealed that Dr deGraft-Johnson is alleged to have falsified records in order to receive money from medical insurers such as Medicare and Medicaid for surgeries and medical procedures that he did not perform.

It continued that he used to money to establish himself in Ghana so he could stand for the next upcoming election for a yet-to-be-identified political party.

Dr deGraft-Johnson is rumored to have bought some expensive and lavish cars such as two Mercedes, and the latest models of Ferraris and a Lamborghinis.

A wealthy deGraft-Johnson owned five sprawling residences in five different cities in the United States of America, spending time in each residence as and when he wished.

The alleged owner of Burger company in Ghana, Cabo Corso, alleged pushed money into the burger business managed by his wife.

Investigators also found bundles of cash both in his hospital and in some of his residences even as investigations continue.

The US government says that there is evidence that Dr deGraft-Johnson was “hard at work using the proceeds of fraud in the United States to establish an empire in a foreign country.”

But attorney William Bubsey who represented Dr deGraft-Johnson argued that the surgeon is a kindhearted individual who was extremely helpful to others, insisting that the money wired home must have been meant to help impoverished Ghanaians.

I Left Nigeria To Dubai To Fix My Body But I Am Still Bleeding Water And Blood- Bobrisky Cries Bitterly

If what we are seeing is anything to go by, then we can confidently say all is not well with Bobrisky following her surgery in Dubai.

A few weeks ago, Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky would not let our ears have its peace of mind all because she claimed she had gone under the knife whilst she was in Dubai to have a perfect body.

She was even able to convince us that we would be awestruck when we finally get to see her new looks albeit, we have been the least impressed. She was better off the way she looked before this supposed surgery.

From a screenshotted post from Bobrisky’s Instastory, she is complaining bitterly of how she has not been able to sit since her surgery and how she has been bleeding blood and water.

That, however, did not stop her from shading wannabes—she says they better put some respect on her name because they are not mates.

TBoss got devastated with the comments, she shared a video of herself crying bitterly on Instagram.

'Dear @officialtboss_ ...

You really need to stop listening to the trolls, your baby is gorgeous.
I used to be bothered by what people said about me online, that was 5 or 6 years ago. Today with a task as Herculean as mine, combined with knowing how stupid most of the dingbats online are, I expect the retorts and the backlash.
But many of those who come online to say shit about me, live in little holes filled with sorrow and hate. They try to transfer their suffering to me; I never accept this and neither should you!
Some come into my dm to beg for money, favors and recognition, I see them all but accord them no acknowledgment.
Stay strong sister in a hateful world! ~FRZ'

Babes Wodumo Trolled After Saying Gumtree is useless

Gqom musician Babes Wodumo is no stranger to getting trolled by her spicy followers. The star who was once South Africa's fan favourites has been hogging deadlines for all the wrong reasons recently, with her career hitting a rock bottom and many convinced it won't revive.

Despite that, she has remained mum and chose to drink water and mind her own business. This past weekend, Babes tweeted that Gumtree is useless and trolls came for her by roasting the star. The narrative that she is a sweetheart seems to be fading away because she delivered some golden clap-back which had many feeling dizzy.

Many saw an opportunity to troll the singer asking her if she is cash strapped for considering to buy on Gumtree. One even said Gumtree is useless like her . They came under fire because Babes wasted no time, she decided swiftly hit back at the hate.

Babes even went as far as telling a troll that salt is killing him Ouch!!. For those who don't know what that means it simply refers to lack of sex.

Clearly Sis had the energy, hey but she hasn't replied to Gumtree to state why she said it was useless because they were willing to tackle her plight.

Ne-Yo announces divorce after 4 years of marriage

Ne-Yo has announced that he and Crystal Smith will be ending their marriage, and their divorce has inspired a new song that's helping him cope with this massive change.

On the latest episode Private Talk with Alexis Texas, Ne-Yo spoke about how he and Crystal -- who he married in 2016, and is the mother to his sons Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr. and Roman Alexander-Raj Smith -- will always be family but no longer husband and wife.

"Slowly but surely it's becoming public knowledge that myself and my wife have decided to go ahead and get a divorce," he told the podcast host. "It's not a sad thing... long story short, I'm never gonna talk bad about her; I'm not that person. There's nothing bad to say about her; she's a fantastic woman. She's the mother of my children. She's always gonna be that, and I will always respect her."

He went on to add that the experience has informed his soon-to-drop track "Pinkie Ring," and explained that "art imitates life" in this case.

"The song is basically about the way that I chose to feel about the situation," he said. "I could've went one of two ways: I could've let this really break me down, and put me in a place that was gonna be difficult for me to be creative, difficult for me to do what I gotta do, or I could take it in stride and keep moving like we all have to do anyway. That's the long and short of what the song is about. I'm going to be very honest with y'all: it's kind of a vent, because I was a little angry when I wrote it."

It's not a takedown of Smith by any means, though, and he's clear about that.

"The song is not a diss to her; the song is not about her," he said. "The song is about the way I chose to handle the situation, the way I chose to lift myself up and keep moving as we all must do."

Team LeBron wins the 2020 NBA All-Star Game in Chicago

Just as everyone had hoped, the 48 minutes of the midseason showcase was all about No. 24. But the last 12 minutes were a true showcase to honor a late NBA legend.

In tribute to Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash in January, the NBA changed up their ending to the All-Star Game at the United Center on Sunday. The combined total of the team leading at the end of three quarters would help to set the winning amount of points for the game, with 24 added to that total in honor of the late Lakers’ legend.

Over the course of that time, both teams embodied the spirit of Bryant with a competitive chase to reach that mark first.

Playing with the intensity normally seen for a regular game and not an All-Star contest, the team led by LeBron James and the other by Giannis Antetokounmpo put on an entertaining session of basketball as each approached 157 points. The competitive, untimed quarter also brought up the sellout crowd’s enthusiasm at the United Center as teams got close to the number.

In the end it was a free throw that would do it, and it was a Laker that would bring an end to an All-Star Game that was all about a late legend of that team.

Chicago native Anthony Davis sank the winning free throw to get Team LeBron a 127-125 win over Team Giannis in the first midseason classic played in the Windy City since February of 1988. It completed a great comeback led by the Lakers’ star after the squad led by the Bucks’ reigning MVP entered the fourth quarter with a nine-point lead. Davis would tie the game for the first time in the fourth quarter then gave them the lead on an ally oop slam that got Team LeBron to the 152 point mark.

James’ dunk would get the score to 156, and after Joel Embiid’s two free throws got the Team Giannis within a point, Davis got his chance from the free throw line. The center created a little drama by missing the first free throw, but he knocked down the second, triggering a celebration at midcourt as he helped to honor a legend of his franchise.

Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers was named the MVP of the contest, which was named after Bryant on Saturday, as he scored a game-high 30 points with seven rebounds and four assists. James and Chris Paul of the Thunder had 23 on the evening while Davis had 20 points in his hometown.

Singer and Chicago native Jennifer Hudson delivered a stirring tribute in the Bryant as well, and after that, the game took on a different feel thanks to the changes made by the league a few weeks back.

Scores were reset after every quarter, with the winning team earning $100,000 for their designated charity. With Team LeBron winning the first quarter 53-41, the Chicago Scholars program got the money.

When Team Giannis won the second quarter 51-30, the After School Matters program of Chicago received the $100,000 donation.

Since the teams tied at 41 to end the third quarter, the winning team’s charity would receive $200,000, which went to Chicago Scholars since it was won by Team LeBron in a gritty fourth quarter comeback effort that Kobe would have appreciated.

Certainly, those involved in the contest at the United Center on Sunday were grateful for what he gave to the game, and showed it over the course of an entire All-Star showcase.

'Queen of Katwe' star Nikita Pearl Waligwa dies at age 15

A Disney actress died Saturday following a brain tumor, according to the Ugandan school where she was a student.

Nikita Pearl Waligwa, who appeared in the 2016 Disney film “Queen of Katwe,” was 15.

The movie tells the true story of Phiona Mutesi who went from living in Uganda’s slums to becoming an international chess star. Nikita played the main character’s friend Gloria in the film.

Nikita’s school, Gayaza High School, tweeted about her death Sunday.

“Fare thee well Nikita Pearl Waligwa. You were a darling to many and we have lost you to brain tumor at such a tender age,” the school’s tweet read. “Rest in Perfect Peace dear.”

The “Queen of Katwe” also starred Lupita Nyong’o who said on Instagram that Nikita played Gloria with “such vibrancy.”

“In her real life she had the enormous challenge of battling brain cancer,” Nyong’o said. “My thoughts and prayers are with her family and community as they come to terms with having to say goodbye so soon.”

David Oyelowo, who also starred in the film, wrote on Instagram that Nikita was “a ball of light” in the film and in life.

“Her battle with a brain tumor was humbling to witness,” Oyelowo wrote. “Her light will live on.”

Sonic the Hedgehog Breaks Box Office Record Set for Video Game Movies

According to Variety, Sonic has officially outpaced the previous video game adaptation with the largest box office, last year’s Detective Pikachu. The film, costarring Jim Carrey as the evil Dr. Robotnik and James Marsden as kindly Green Hills sheriff Tom Wachowski, has earned approximately $57 million domestic and $100 million world-wide so far this long weekend, and there is plenty of work-free Monday to go.

As Vulture’s own Chris Lee wrote last week, Sonic was initially projected to scoop up “a box-office debut that prerelease tracking estimates predict will fall in the $41–47 million range domestically.” Even more shocking, movie-goers and critics, including Vulture’s Bilge Ebiri, alike report that the movie is…pretty good! Dang, those must be some perfect CGI hedgehog teeth.

Rebel Wilson laments lack of plus-size actresses in lead roles

Actress Rebel Wilson has taken a swipe at Hollywood for failing to cast larger women in leading roles.

Speaking to Stellar on Sunday, the curvaceous blonde said: 'I am the average size of the American and Australian woman.'

'And yet plus-size actresses have less than one per cent of all leading roles, I think, even though they are the majority of women.'

Speaking of the importance of diversity on screen, Rebel explained: 'It’s still really important to have representation like me in those type of leading-lady roles because it’s still unfair.'

It comes after the actress revealed she'd lost 3.6 kilos in just four days while shooting the musical movie Cats.

Speaking to ET last December, Rebel said that her slim-down was thanks to the physically taxing dance routine she performed in the movie, and the fact that the set of Cats was extremely hot.

'I lost eight pounds (3.6 kilos) shooting my number, in four days,' she said.

'One, because there’s a lot of physicality… but also, they heated up the set very high, to almost 100 Fahrenheit, so that we could never cool down.'

On January 2, Rebel said she was focusing on her health in 2020 in an effort to make 'some positive changes'.

'Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called 'The Year of Health' - so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I've just had but I'm going to do it!' she wrote.

'Who's with me in making some positive changes this year?' she added.

Steven Gerrard Responds To Manchester City Possibly Having Title Stripped

Steven Gerrard has revealed he's 'really interested' to see what punishment the Premier League might give Manchester City if the current champions fail to overturn their ban by UEFA.

On Friday City were banned by UEFA for two years from European competition for Financial Fair Play breaches, subject to appeal from the club, and on the weekend there were reports the Premier League could also hand out a punishment.

Included in the options for the league is a retrospective points deduction that could see them lose the 2013/14 title and then hand it to Liverpool, something that is certainly interesting to Gerrard. "We will wait and see. From a UEFA point of view, it is a real strong sentence or punishment," the Rangers manager told reporters.

"I'm sure they will appeal so we will wait and see what the outcome is on that. Then we will see whether the Premier League act from there.

"I will give you a comment once I know that the Premier League decide to do. But if you look at the severity of the punishment from UEFA, something has gone badly wrong. So I'm really interested to see the outcome of that. Until I get the punishment from the Premier League, I won't comment. But I'm really, really interested in it... for obvious reasons.

"It's all ifs and buts. It is what it is. Manchester City were champions. As I sit here right now, congratulations to them. They are champions.

"Until things develop, if they develop, it's all ifs and buts. I've got nothing to say on the matter. All I say is I'm very interested because of the severity of what UEFA have put out there. That tells me that something has gone badly wrong. We will see how that progresses."

In 2014 City pipped their rivals Liverpool to the title by just two points. With just a few weeks left of the season the Reds led the way when they faced Jose Mourinho's Chelsea with three games to go.

Gerrard's infamous slip cost his team that game and then Brendan Rodgers' team threw away a three goal lead against Crystal Palace in the next game as City overtook them in the title race and won it on the final day.

It was the closest the Liverpool legend came to winning the league as a player but he could soon find himself with a winners medal.

City's punishment could be a points deduction for this season but the league might see that as worthless considering they are currently 25 points behind Liverpool at the moment.

If UEFA's ban stands then punishment towards this season wouldn't impact their campaign in anyway other than for prize money for their position in the final league table.

The club's rivals Manchester United could also be looking out for a potential title win should the 2012-2016 period that City have allegedly broken FFP rules include the end of the 2011/12 season.

How Family Tragedy Stopped Adriano From Becoming An All-Time Great

Teammates at Inter Milan called him a mix between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Brazilian Ronaldo - but just as he was reaching his peak, heartbreaking news changed his life forever.

"He got a phone call from Brazil: 'Adri, dad is dead'," said Inter legend Javier Zanetti of pre-season training in 2004. "I saw him in his room, he threw the phone and started screaming. You couldn't imagine that kind of scream... I get goosebumps even to this day."

The striker had become a national hero just weeks earlier. An injury-time equaliser in a Copa America final against Argentina ultimately led to Brazil's victory. It was a standard Adriano screamer - turning to rifle the ball home with a left foot that could either be a magic wand or a rocket launcher.

It was the stuff of childhood dreams, shortly before the phone call of childhood nightmares.

Adriano was 22 when a heart-attack took the life of his father who'd long suffered from poor health, not helped by years spent with a bullet lodged in his skull. Rio's dangerous Vila Cruzeiro favela was home for the family, but Adriano had used his talent to build a new life for himself in Italy.

Fiorentina, Parma and Inter fans all marvelled at the strength, pace, skill and heatseeker finishing that saw Adriano nicknamed L'Imperatore (the Emperor). Even after his father's death, he continued to dazzle in Milan - but as Zanetti knew, his teammate's life was secretly going off the rails.

"He kept playing football, scoring goals and pointing to the sky, dedicating them to his father," Zanetti told Tutto Mercato. "But after that phone call, nothing was the same. Ivan Cordoba spent one night with him and said, 'Adri, you're a mix of Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Are you aware that you could become the best player ever?'"

Adriano couldn't be consoled. "The death of my father left a huge void in me," he later admitted to Brazilian magazine R7. "I was alone, sad and depressed in Italy and that's when I started drinking."

"I did not know how to hide it because I was drunk even at training," he said of the beer, wine, whiskey and vodka binges that took over his life. "I was completely drunk. They took me to the infirmary to sleep and then the club told the press that I had muscular problems."

Inter covered for their star by inventing injuries but nobody could hide the crushing disappointment of the 2006 World Cup. Brazil's 'magic square' featured three Ballon d'Or winners - Ronaldo, Kaka and Ronaldinho - plus another player who seemed destined for the award.

But Adriano was notably chunkier than he'd been at the Copa America two years earlier. He scored twice but he and his teammates failed to spark the magic as Brazil limped out in the quarter-finals. A year later, he was back in Brazil on unpaid leave as Inter desperately tried to help their homesick and troubled star.

It was the beginning of the end. There was a return to Inter, a brief spell at Roma, plus false starts - and fleeting moments of glory - at various Brazilian sides. Clubs were willing to take a risk on such a magnificent talent, but he'd never fulfil even part of his potential.

Pictures emerged of him in Rio favelas, clearly overweight. In some he was surrounded by members of a notorious criminal gang. Yet despite his drinking - and a run-in with the police - those who know him best say Adriano is a shy, withdrawn figure; one who retreated to the favela because this was where he'd grown up and felt most comfortable.

He's just turned 38 - younger than Ibrahimovic, who's still active in Serie A today. But Adriano hasn't played a game in six years, while the last of his 48 Brazil caps was a decade ago. Despite the four Serie A titles, the 27 international goals, the Brazilian league titles, Adriano's career actually peaked just as we all thought it was blazing into life.

"This title belongs to my father," he said through tears after the Copa America triumph of 2004. "He is my great friend in life; my partner. Without him I am nothing."

It turns out, in a purely football sense, Adriano was right. Without his father, he could never find the stability and motivation to complete what should have been one of the all-time great careers.

You Will Get To My Age And You'll See – Kofi Adjorlolo To Elikem

Veteran actor Kofi Adjorlolo wept during a heated argument with Elikem Kumordzi over issues regarding producers not paying him after working for them.

“You will get to my age,” he told Elikem on Peace FM on Saturday.

After Kofi Adjorlolo's public outburst last week about some Ghanaian producers owing him, Elikem took to Instagram to ask actors to get “a day job” aside from their acting career and stop complaining about the movie industry.

“So there is this plenty talks on online about Ghanaian producers don't pay actors. It is actually a good thing for me that producers were not paying me. I agree that producer here in Ghana don't pay. Some of them do, some of them don’t. For me I appreciate those producers for not paying me or for not paying me on time or making me go hungry because when man is in adversity he finds himself and that was what happened to me. I was hungry for being an actor and not finding wealth. You find work and won't get paid enough…Back in the days on set, they used to send me on my motorbike. When they forget their microphone or camera I am the one to pick it up. I was literally an errand boy and I will get a role and I will love it and I will appreciate the fact that i was given a role… Being in that position made me realise this other talent of mine. Thank you very much producers association of Ghana for not paying me on time,” Elikem had said in a video he shared on Instagram.

“So find yourself something proper to do and stop complaining on the internet that producers don’t pay. Get something to do,” he added.

The statement didn't go down well with a lot of his fellow actors who criticised him. Many saw his statement as gross disrespect to the veteran actor, who is otherwise called Papa Lolo.

Elikem, on the other hand, claimed he wasn't referring to Kofi Adjorlolo, but he went on to apologise to him in another video he shared on Instagram.

According to Elikem, he was only advising young actors but he apologised to Kofi Adjorlolo because everyone has made his statement about the 'old man.'

On Saturday, both men clashed on Peace FM and engaged in verbal exchanges, during which the veteran actor wept.

Kofi Adjorlolo asked Elikem to go to his father's grave and render an apology to him if he wants to apologise to him.

In his response, Elikem lost his cool and said he has taken back his earlier apology to Kofi Adjorlolo.

He added that Kofi Adjorlolo's statement about his father's grave “shows how shallow everything is right now.”

But at the end, he again apologised to Kofi Adjorlolo after the host of Entertainment Review on Peace FM, Kwasi Aboagye, pushed him to do so.

Real truth behind Shatta Wale and Efia Odo’s break-up finally revealed

For some weeks now Efia Odo and her former bestie Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale have been on the neck of each other over something we really didn’t know until now.

Efia Odo whose real name is Andrea Owusu was rumored in the past to be in a serious relationship with Shatta Wale looking at how tight they were but they both denied it stating that they are just friends and besties for that matter.

All of a sudden things took turns as the once besties have now become enemies following what Efia Odo described as backstabbing on the part of the ‘Gringo’ hitmaker.

According to her Shatta Wale stole her business partner, she introduced him to for a business transaction and this involves a lot of money.

Well, Ghpage.com after digging in deep into the matter has found out the actual reason why the two friends fell out weeks ago.

Remember Efia Odo weeks ago announced that she has opened a wine shop inside Afrikiko called South African Wines? Yup, that is the genesis of their break-up.

The truth of the matter is that Efia Odo is actually not the owner of the shop as she claims but rather was approached by the real owner to use her celebrity status to hype the shop.

Shatta Wale, on the other hand, was named as the ambassador for the shop.

We gathered that things failed to go as planned as Shatta Wale started backstabbing her to the owner of the shop who has now been identified as Eunice Ijeoma Aku Ogbugbo and was getting huge monies from her.

This move by Shatta Wale made Efia Odo be kicked out as the face behind South African Wines and this made her very angry.

Looking at how foolish she would be in the eyes of people especially her fans and followers for deceiving them, she felt the only way out was to quit her friendship with Shatta Wale.

A quick look at the Instagram page of South African Wines clearly shows the real name of its owner and its not Efia Odo and the page only follows Shatta Wale as well as its CEO.

See screenshots below:
So there you have it on why Efia Odo and Shatta Wale are no more cool with each other.
Efia Odo is currently bracing herself up to launch a bikini clothing line in the coming days.

Ghanaian footballer 'Samuel Asamoah' showed red card for displaying “Jesus loves you”

A Ghanaian footballer identified as Samuel Asamoah who plies his trade in the Belgian league has been handed a red card for displaying his religious beliefs to supporters after scoring a goal during a football match.

Asamoah was red-carded after receiving a second yellow card in St. Truiden’s 5-2 victory over Eupen on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

The 25-year-old showed off his striking prowess as his goals propelled his club to come from behind to record a massive victory.

The midfielder scored his first in the 42nd minute and added another in the 45th minute, before completing his hat-trick in the 63rd minute.

However, Asamoah did not complete the game, as he received his marching orders in the second half for partially taking off his shirt.

Asamoah had received his first booking in the 53rd minute and was sent off 12 minutes later after scoring and partially pulling off his shirt to display the message “Jesus loves you.”

Speaking in the aftermath of the game, the midfielder said scoring a hat-trick made him so emotional.

“Of course I knew that I was not allowed to do that. It was from sheer emotion that I did it. I am especially happy for our team and staff that we are playing such a good game and getting the three points,” he said.

“I can’t remember when I scored three more times. It must have been a long time ago. I like it. It is a shame that I will have to miss next week’s game, but I have every confidence in our team.”

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott party it up at Oscars after party

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott partied together at an Oscars after party on Sunday.

The former couple - who have two-year-old daughter Stormi together - travelled in the same limousine to Jay Z and Beyonce’s Chateau Marmont bash, along with her siblings Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.

The 22-year-old beauty mogul shared videos of their antics on her Instagram Stories.

Travis was seen rolling a roll-up cigarette in one clip, which was captioned: "It be your own family sometimes."

It was recently reported that the pair - who split in October after two years together - have been spending more time together following their little girl's birthday party earlier this month, although they are not back together just yet.

A source said: "They are very happy. It seems too early to say that they are officially back together, though."

It's said the 27-year-old rapper is waiting for more "commitment" from Kylie before going official.

As well as joining forces to put on the second 'Stormi World' party for their little girl, the couple also took their daughter to Disneyland as a family.

Kylie recently insisted they get on "great" and always put Stormi first.

She said: "We have such a great relationship. We're like best friends.

"We both love Stormi and want what's best for her. We stay connected and coordinated.

"I think about [my parents] in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi."

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star also insisted she has no "plan" to have any more children in the near future but her friends have been putting "pressure" on for her to give Stormi a sibling.

She said: "My friends all pressure me about it. They love Stormi. I definitely feel pressure to give her a sibling, but there's no plan."

'I'm an old fool' - Pamela Anderson's ex husband, Jon Peters says as he reveals he paid off her $200k debt during their 12-day marriage

Canadian-American actress, Pamela Anderson's ex-husband, Jon Peters, has claimed he paid off her $200,000 debts and bought her a new wardrobe during their 12-day marriage.

'Everything she told you was a lie,' the 74-year-old called himself 'an old fool' in an email to Page Six.

'I welcomed her into my life with open arms and love since I have looked after her for many years,' he wrote. 'I paid… [her] bills since she was broke. I bought her a completely new wardrobe.'

Refuting claims he had asked the Baywatch star to be his wife, he instead claimed the 52-year-old proposed to him - via text.

He wrote: 'When she texted me that she wanted to get married, it was kind of a dream come true even though I was engaged to someone else and the lady was moving in.

'I dropped everything for Pam. She had almost $200,000 in bills and no way to pay it so I paid it and this is the thanks I get. There's no fool like an old fool.'

For her part, Pamela's representatives called Peters' claims 'ludicrous'.

Five times married Pamela married the 74-year-old Hollywood mogul in a private ceremony in Malibu on January 20. The pair, who first dated for more than 30 years ago announced their split just 12 days after their wedding.

This comes days after it was revealed that Peters ended his 'beautiful amazing love fest' with Pamela via text message.

He allegedly wrote: 'This whole marriage thing … has scared me. It made me see that at 74 I need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair.

Therefore, I think the best thing we can do is that I'm going to go away for a couple of days and maybe you need to go back up to Canada.

'The world knows we did it and I think now we need to go our own separate ways. I hope that you can forgive me.'

Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte praises Victor Moses, explains why he's settled in faster than Christian Eriksen

Former Juventus and Chelsea coach Antonio has hailed Chelsea loanee Victor Moses, praising him for settling quickly into his new club.

Moses left Fenerbahce of Turkey to join Inter Milan in January and provided an assist during Inter Milan's 4-2 win over AC Milan on Sunday and Conte believes Moses has settled into life at the Nerazzurri because he worked with him for two seasons at Chelsea while Eriksen had issues at Tottenham before joining Inter Milan.

"Both Ashley Young and Victor Moses, because they are wing-backs, don’t need quite so much guidance in training. Plus Moses already played with me at Chelsea," Conte told Sky Sport Italia.

"For midfielders, it’s more complicated, as I always ask something pre-planned and memorised for both attacking and defending moves. Christian knows football well, he reads it, but also is not quite at 100 per cent fitness.

"I had thought about using Eriksen behind Lukaku, but then decided not to transform things too much, as it’s important for us to play with the two strikers.

"Eriksen also had this issue dragging on with Tottenham, coming and going, so that takes a lot out of you. I’ve been a player, I know, it’ll take him a little while to settle."

"It was a special night, that's for sure," Conte told Sky Sport Italia after Inter came from 2 down to win AC Milan 4-2 and go top of the Italian league standings..
"The first half saw us in real difficulty, perhaps more than we've ever been this season, and there was the risk of a hammering.

"Instead, we did well to get the balance back, to understand where we had to improve, to have faith in what we were doing and the credit goes to these lads.

"Aside from the result, I am happy to see them resist under blows and turn it around, as that means they are preparing for something truly important.

"It's still very early to talk about something we can for now dream of. We can have a dream."
