In the video shared by the reality TV star, a pharmacist could be heard saying the new price.

Ifeanyi Ennada captioned the video; “Disposable face masks now 15,000 Naira! No longer 750naira or 10,000 naira which was the latest price in Lekki this morning like I reported some mins ago. This video was sent to me by one of my sisters who’s on the mainland.

“Nigerians, we are our own problem. I hope these Pharmacies ripping people off their money also educate them on how to use and also inform them that only those who already have the Virus need to wear these face masks.”

My sexuality has robbed me of my career - South Africa's first openly gay football player, Phuti Lekoloane opens up

South Africa's first openly gay football player, Phuti Lekoloane has opened up on the challenges he has faced since going public with his sexuality.

In an interview with Times Live, the 28-year-old football player who publicly came out in 2015 said he won't advise any soccer player to come out because of the stereotypes attached to the LGBTQ+ community.

Phuti also recounted being rejected by a team in the national first division because of his sexual orientation.

He said;

“I risked everything to live my truth, but I wouldn’t advise anyone to come out now because of the stereotype. There is a lot at stake.

“If you come out, you have a lot to lose. I have lost everything that I have dreamed of.

“I wanted to play in the (national first division), but if teams in this league discriminate against you because of your sexuality, then it’s another thing.

“You can’t go there if teams still don’t understand homosexuality, so that is how I got rejected. If I was in the closet, I think I would have made it".

The goalkeeper who now plays for Makapanstad RFC in the ABC Motsepe League, believes he is the sacrificial lamb even though there are others in football who are gay.

“My sexuality has robbed me of my career.

“Some people depend on football to put bread on the table. It’s always tricky, especially in football, but I would advise people to start living their truth and the more people that come out, the more we break the stereotype.

“There are a lot of gay guys in the closet that are playing in the league and the funny part is that it’s not only players, even the team managers are (gay).

“We do have bisexual team managers and coaches who are in the closet, so it’s always like that. I am the sacrificial lamb."

Sadio Mane 'never knew' Premier League winners got medals

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane says he never knew the winners of the Premier League also received individual medals.

The Reds are 22 points clear at the top of the table and closing in on a first title for 30 years, but Mane says he is not interested in personal accolades.

"I heard yesterday that if we win the league, we will have a medal," Mane told BBC World Service.

"I never knew that happened, but I don't care about medals."

Mane finished as a runner-up last season and, despite the Reds being so far clear that they could win the title in March, the 27-year-old says his side's domestic dominance this term "has not been easy".

"Easy? Oh, I wish," he said. "We know the Premier League is the best league in the world and every single game you have to give 100% if you want to win.

"It's what we always try and I think it's working very well but we have to keep working hard to get what we want.

"Our target from the beginning was to win the league, so if we win it, it will be great for the club and for the fans."

Mane was signed by Jurgen Klopp in the summer of 2016 when he joined from Southampton, and the forward says he would be "honoured" if the German receives a statue at Anfield.

"For sure I think there will be one because he is a great manager and he is doing very well for the club and the players," he said.

"He has his specific way of doing things and he gives his players more responsibility on the pitch which is really important.

"At the same time, he is very friendly with his players so that is one of his big strengths."

Angola prosecutors close in on dos Santos children

Angola's former first son Jose Filomeno dos Santos has spent hours contemplating the marble floor and wood-panelled walls of Luanda's Supreme Court where he has been on trial since December.

The 42-year-old child of Jose Eduardo dos Santos could soon hear whether he is guilty of stealing millions of dollars from Angola's sovereign wealth fund, which he oversaw from 2013 to 2018.

His father is so far not under investigation, but prosecutors are closing in on the dos Santos children.

Jose is the first dos Santos member to stand trial since President Joao Lourenco launched a purge of Dos Santos' administration in a bid to tackle graft soon after he took over in 2017.

Isabel dos Santos, the ex-president's billionaire daughter, was this year charged with financial crimes related to her tenure at state oil company Sonangol - from which she was removed after Lourenco came to power.

Aged 77, and believed to be in Spain for medical treatment, Jose Eduardo Dos Santos has barely reacted to the prosecution of his children.

"Touching dos Santos would be very politically risky," said Paula Cristina Roque, an Oxford University-based Angola analyst.

She believes Lourenco - known as "JLo" amongst Angolans - strategically targeted the ex-ruler's offspring because they had no strong backing in the ruling People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA).

"Dos Santos is a different story."

'NO FACTS'

Critics of Lourenco's anti-corruption drive say the high-profile cases barely scratch the surface. They say other suspects - including former vice-president and Lourenco protege Manuel Vicente - are shielded from investigation.

The MPLA is set to elect a new party leader next year and Lourenco is being careful not to make the wrong enemies, analysts say.

Targeting the unpopular dos Santos children is also seen as a strategy to rack up support ahead of general elections in 2022.

From her luxury exile in London and Dubai, Isabel dos Santos decried the investigations as a "witch-hunt".

But at the offices of Angola's Palace of Justice, overlooking the oceanside capital Luanda, prosecutors disagree.

"There is a focus on these two children because... prosecutors found that they mismanaged public assets," said attorney-general spokesperson Alvaro Joao.

He told AFP several politicians were also under investigation, including former transport minister Augusto Tomas, who was jailed for corruption last year.

"At the moment there are no facts to suggest the ex-president has committed any infraction," Joao said.

He said as a former head of state, dos Santos would also be immune from criminal prosecution for five years after the end of his mandate.

CORRUPTION LEGACY

Dos Santos took office after the death of Angola's first president Agostinho Neto in 1979.

He remained in power for 38 years, during which he saw the former Portuguese colony through a 27-year civil war that ended in 2002.

Peace was followed by an economic boom as investors rushed in to tap Angola's vast oil reserves.

Dos Santos reserved top jobs in his administration for close friends and family.

Natural resource wealth amassed in the hands of a few, and evidence suggests large sums of public money were diverted to offshore accounts.

"Corruption is an evil that has corroded Angolan society since the (MPLA) regime was implemented," said lawyer Salvador dos Santos, who heads an anti-graft association.

"At the highest level no one lived off their salaries or through legal means," he said. "It was all about scam and fraud."

He said the investigations commanded by the new government had raised awareness and prompted Angolans to speak out.

'HIS TIME WILL COME'

As evening traffic crawled along Luanda's Hoji Ya Henda avenue, passers-by did not hold back their disapproval of the dos Santos family.

"I don't even have words for Isabel dos Santos," said mechanic Tayson Madrugada, 20. "She messed around with our country and opened businesses that did not give jobs to the youth."

Driver Jacob Denis, 48, said only dos Santos senior was responsible for handing powerful posts to his children.

"The kids are not to blame," said Denis. "When you are a son and your father gives, are you not going to take?"

Angolan investigative journalist Rafael Marques de Morais was confident dos Santos would be held accountable once his immunity is lifted in 2022.

"Many of the people who have been indicted refer back to him," Marques told AFP. "There are investigations... and he will have to answer questions."

Judges at his son's trial last week received a written response from dos Santos stating he had personally authorised former central bank governor Valter Filipe da Silva to move $500 million to Switzerland to guarantee an investment fund.

Da Silva is accused of embezzling the money alongside dos Santos's son and two others. Both denied that.

"His time will come," Marques said of the former president. "The question is whether his health will hold him steady until 2022."

Vera Sidika talks about ‘Size’ weeks after breaking up with Dr Jimmy Chansa, flaunts her massive ass

Socialite Vera Sidika and Jimmy Chansa are no longer an item! After dating for close to a year, the two called off their relationship a few weeks ago before Vera Sidika jetted off to the states.

Word however had it that Jimmy Chansa had other options on the side; and since Queen Vee is not one who shares her men, she then decided to walk out on him.

The two have so far deleted each other’s photos from their Instagram pages and continue to focus on their lives separately. This break up wouldn’t have seemed legit if Vera Sidika wouldn’t lashed out as she does every time she dumps a man.

Well, thanks to her latest posts shared on her Instagram story; it is obvious that she is now throwing shade at Jimmy Chansa or wants to inform him that her sex life is now better than it was. She shared a meme that read;

Most people remember how Vera Sidika and Otile Brown’s break up went down thanks to the socialite who spilled private details about her former relationship.

According to Vera, singer Otile Brown has been living her hanging or rather was not sexually satisfying her. Vera went on to share receipts showing how she tried teaching Otile Brown sex tips but sadly she never got satisfied.

Exposing this however left Otile Brown battling depression on the low and if Jimmy Chansa is not careful; he will end up in Otile’s shoes!

Glamorous fitness fanatic who supplied cocaine to Sydney's professional elite is arrested

A glamorous fitness fanatic has been charged by police for her alleged role in helping to coordinate a 'dial-a-dealer' drug service.

Sarah Rutherford, 29, originally from Bridgewater, in the United Kingdom, was arrested at a home in Greenacre, in Sydney's south west on Thursday by detectives from the Drug and Firearms Squad, as part of an investigation into illicit drug supply across the city.

Police raided Rutherford's home and allegedly found mobile phones, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and documents which were all seized.

Rutherford, was later charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), supply prohibited drug (between indictable and commercial quantity x2), supply prohibited drug (between small and indictable quantity), supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and knowingly/recklessly direct criminal group assist crime.

Police will allege she coordinated a drug delivery service across Sydney and supplied more than 300 grams of cocaine between September 2019 and February 2020.

Rutherford, originally from Somerset in England, was refused bail and is set to appear in the Bankstown Local Court on Friday.

The arrest was part of Strike Force Delaven, established in July 2019 by the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad.

The strike force is tasked with investigating the supply of illicit drugs across Sydney.

Investigations are continuing.

Mind your business and leave Lagos politics... APC Lagos tells Oyo State Governor, Makinde

Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday advised Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to focus on the challenge of governing his state, instead of day-dreaming about how the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) can win elections in Lagos in 2023.

The party said, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, that the Oyo State governor did not speak on his future permutation for Lagos PDP from a vantage point of experience.

The statement reads: “My candid advice to Governor Makinde is this Igbo proverb that ‘those whose palm kernels were broken for them by some benevolent spirit should learn to be humble’.

“His Excellency is apparently still excited that he managed to attain his dream office after series of electoral defeats. He needs not forget that he leveraged on the storm in the Oyo State APC family.

“However, his lack of experience in governance at any level has become apparent with nine months of false starts and lack of developmental ideas. It will take more than the still-born unity amongst gangsters to take Lagos State from the path of progressive governance.

“It appears His Excellency Makinde has the spirit of clairvoyance through which he’s able to predict his political future of imminent defeat in future elections. He could boost his democratic credentials by obeying court orders as regards the issue of local government chairmen. Those he disappointed in their ill-conceived desperate power-sharing formula are still waiting to take their pound of flesh.

“The good and politically sophisticated people of Oyo State know better than to allow unfocused experimentation in governance to continue.”

Italian infected with Coronavirus also visited Ogun, giant manufacturing company he visited Quarantined

The Italian confirmed to have been infected with Coronavirus had also visited Ewekoro in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State this week.

But residents and visitors to the state have  no reason to panic, the Commissioner for Health, Tomi Coker said on Friday morning.

Coker disclosed that the Italian visited a giant manufacturing company(name withheld) in Ewekoro community, adding that the facility so visited has since been quarantined in accordance with health safety standard.

The Commissioner, who abandoned her bed rest to attend to the public health emergency, while briefing the press, said the state has epidemiologists and Infectious Disease Consultant already handling the situation with support from the Lagos State Government and Federal Government.

She said efforts are in place to get in touch with people that have had contact with the established index case.

She advised the public to wash their hands regularly, cover their mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing and to report to the nearest public health centre if they notice any sign of cold, cough and respiratory difficulty.

US female ex-mayor sentenced to three years for fraud

The former mayor of Baltimore was on Thursday sentenced to three years in prison on corruption charges related to sales of her self-published children’s book to companies with close ties to state and local government.

Catherine Pugh, a 69-year-old Democrat who resigned last year, was also ordered to pay around $1 million in restitution, according to a statement from the federal prosecutor for the US East Coast state of Maryland.

She pleaded guilty to fraud and tax evasion in November for raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars by selling her “Healthy Holly” children’s books to local organizations to which she had ties — sometimes without delivering the books.

“I accept total responsibility,” Pugh said in a video in which she expressed regret for tarnishing Baltimore’s image as the city of some 600,000 people grapples with a soaring crime rate, racial unrest and poverty levels that are among the highest in the country.

But Maryland District Court Judge Deborah Chasanow said Thursday, “I have yet frankly to hear any explanation that makes sense.”

“This was not a tiny mistake, lapse of judgment,” she said, according to the Baltimore Sun newspaper. “This became a very large fraud. The nature and circumstances of this offence clearly I think are extremely, extremely serious.”

The newspaper revealed last year that the University of Maryland Medical System spent $500,000 to buy 100,000 copies of Pugh’s “Healthy Holly” children’s books between 2012 and 2018, while she was a member of the health system’s board.

After first denouncing an investigation into the matter as a “witch hunt,” the former mayor then called the incident a “regrettable mistake” and returned $100,000 of the sales.

But other sales were uncovered, including to Kaiser Permanente insurance company, which said it paid Pugh $114,000 for “Healthy Holly” books from 2015 to 2018.

Kaiser had won a $48 million contract in 2017 to provide health insurance to city employees from 2018 to 2020.

Pugh, who was elected in 2016, finally quit her position in May 2019 after calls for her resignation intensified.

The internet is gushing over mugshots of pretty suspects, criminals as they are been shared on Mugshawtys

Twitter users have been wildly sharing what they have dubbed "criminally hot" mugshots of women who have fallen foul of the law.

A hugely popular account on the social media site is dedicated to tweeting images of attractive arrested women, with the man behind the account even claiming some ladies beg him to post their pics.

The creator of the account called 'Mugshawtys', Josh Jeffrey, 24, told the New York Post: “A lot of people send me their own mugshots – I get probably 15 to 20 plus [direct messages] a day of different ones.

“A lot of what I post is submissions."

The 24-year-old thinks a lot of women want to be featured to boost their profiles as many ask him to include their Twitter handles.

“They definitely want some kind of exposure," he added.

However, some simply want him to add a link to a crowdfunding page in the hope they can raise bail money and get out of whatever prison they're being held in.

And if a lady is unhappy with being featured, Josh says he's more than happy to take down an image, explaining: “If there’s anybody that doesn’t want their picture on there, I take it down with no questions asked.

“I don’t put information out there if the [women] don’t want it."

But he admits he has received some backlash, with some users claiming it glamourises crime.

“I get random people all the time sayin’ ‘oh, this isn’t right.’ I can see where they’re coming from,” he said.

“When I first started, I was going through these databases and doing all the work myself, copy and pasting everything.”

Josh thinks another upside of his social media hobby is that he has learned a lot about what he perceives as unfairness in the US justice system.

“Our justice system is a joke,” he said, referencing how some women are booked for relatively minor violations such as possession of cannabis.

“I think the US is the only country where there’s a public mugshot database. I’ve posted some international mugshots, too, but every one of those the person sent me.”

And having a mugshot go viral can sometimes completely transform your life.

Timo Werner To Reject Manchester United And Barcelona To Wait For Liverpool Offer

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is willing to turn down Manchester United and Barcelona as he waits for Liverpool to activate his £52 million release clause.

The 23-year-old has impressed in his four seasons with the Bundesliga side and has scored 21 goals in 23 games in the league this season.

That form has alerted some of Europe's elite to him and he is available for just £51 million because of a release clause in his contract. Manchester United and Barcelona have already made enquiries but, according to the Athletic, he is ready to wait for Liverpool to make an approach.

The release clause for Werner is only valid until the end of April, meaning that any side would have to pay more if they waited until the summer, and the report says Liverpool would make an approach sometime next month, should they decide to make the move.

March is when the Reds started making moves for both Fabinho and Alisson in recent years, when they'd put in excellent performances for Monaco and Roma respectively.

However Transfermarkt journalist NicolΓ² Schira claims that the Premier League leaders have already been in contact with the Germany striker and offered him an €8 million + bonuses a year deal until 2025.

Jurgen Klopp's team might lead the Premier League by 22 points and look unstoppable but the manager is already looking at building the next phase of his side.

With Mo Salah and Sadio Mane turning 28 before the end of the season and Roberto Firmino turning 29 by the end of the year the German is looking to add more youth to his front line.

In the short term Liverpool will also have to deal with losing both Salah and Mane for the African Cup of Nations next January, whilst the Egyptian could also miss the start of the season for the Olympics.

United missed out on Erling Haaland to Borussia Dortmund in January and are desperate to add to their attacking options after selling Romelu Lukaku last summer and failing to replace him.

Barcelona have spent big in recent years to improve their strike force but with Luis Suarez's advancing years and injury troubles to Ousmane Dembele and the Uruguayan they've still had to bring in Martin Braithwaite as an emergency signing this month.

Klopp could strengthen his own side whilst denting the ambitions of both a domestic and European rival.
