Nigeria is faced with a lot of problems that are more critical than 'Hate Speech' - Shina Peller
Shina Peller, a member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/ Itesiwaju/ Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency has spoken on the controversial 'Hate Speech' bill.
According to him, 'Nigeria is faced with a lot of problems that are more critical than Hate Speech'
In a recent interview with NASS NEWS, Shina Peller said, 'the constitution provides for freedom of speech and expression for the citizenry, so whatsoever bill that will truncate is dead on arrival.
There are existing laws that provide punishment for those set of person who propagates fake news/Hate speech - The only regulation the social media in Nigeria needs is identity verification'.
