Four Liverpool stars make Ballon d’Or top 10 alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

Barcelona striker, Lionel Messi was the biggest winner of the night after he picked up his sixth Ballon d'Or trophy.

But four Liverpool players dominated the Ballon d'Or top10  list after their Champions League success and sensational form last season.

Three other Liverpool players (Roberto Firmino, Alexander Arnold and Gini Wijnadum) were included in the first 20 names revealed on Monday afternoon.

Alisson, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk were all named in the top 10.

The Liverpool stars were also joined in the top 10 by both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who dominated the Ballon d’Or for a decade between 2008 and 2017. Manchester City stars Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva are also included, along with Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
