Jürgen Klopp agrees new Liverpool FC contract to 2024

Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce Jürgen Klopp has agreed a contract extension with the club.

The manager will extend his Reds tenure until 2024, ensuring he will remain at the helm for a further four-and-a-half years.

Assistant managers Peter Krawietz and Pepijn Lijnders have also agreed deals to continue working collaboratively alongside Klopp.

The deal comes after four hugely successful years in charge of Liverpool for the 52-year-old and will ensure the long-term foundations for the team’s – and indeed club’s – development will continue well into the next decade.

And Klopp has detailed his belief that the benefits for both parties of this agreement mean there is nowhere else in world football he’d want to manage.

The German said: “For me personally this is a statement of intent, one which is built on my knowledge of what we as a partnership have achieved so far and what is still there for us to achieve.

“When I see the development of the club and the collaborative work that continues to take place, I feel my contribution can only grow.

“People see what happens on the pitch as a measure of our progress and although it is the best measure, it’s not the only measure. I have seen the commitment from ownership through to every aspect and function of the club you can think of.

“When the call came in autumn 2015, I felt we were perfect for each other; if anything, now I feel I underestimated that. It is only with a total belief that the collaboration remains totally complimentary on both sides that I am able to make this commitment to 2024.

“If I didn’t I would not be re-signing.

“This club is in such a good place, I couldn’t contemplate leaving.

“I must also highlight the role of our sporting director, Michael Edwards, in this journey so far. His input and collaboration has been just as important as anyone else’s in getting us into a position to compete for the game’s top titles.

“For anyone in football who aspires to compete in an environment where every element of the organisation is at its very best – from the support of the supporters to the vision of the owners – there can be no better place than this.”

Drake fuels Kylie Jenner romance rumours by wearing her old school sweatshirt

Drake has reignited rumours of a romance with Kylie Jenner by wearing a sweatshirt from her high school.

The 33-year-old rapper surprised fans in Toronto by turning up in a Sierra Canyon hoodie, which is the high school that Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kylie attended along with her sister Kendall.

While there has been speculation about Drake's relationship with Kylie since they spent a lot of time together at his birthday party, he isn't doing much to quell the rumours.

He was making a surprise visit at DaBaby‘s show in the Canadian city and sent fans into a frenzy when they made the connection between his attire and the billionaire make-up mogul.

The now 22-year-old Kylie attended the school for many years but she got her diploma in 2015 from a home school program.

As well as the sweatshirt, Drake also had a lipstick kiss printed on his hat that is seen as a nod to Kylie and her cosmetics business.

While lip kits are what Kylie is all about, she was over 2500 miles away in Calabasas at the time of Drake's appearance, so while she was not there, she obviously has a place in his mind at the moment.

23 year-old woman hasn't been to toilet for five years after her bladder nearly exploded

Pollyanna Love hasn't been able to go to the toilet for the last five years after her bladder "nearly exploded".

Surgeons had no choice but to remove her bladder and fit a stoma bag after the 23-year-old was diagnosed with a rare condition, Fowlers Syndrome.

Pollyanna was just 18 when she had to undego the harrowing procedure because of her condition, which means where the urethral sphincter – the muscle that keeps people continent – cannot relax, preventing normal urination.

Since the age of four Pollyanna had suffered from almost constant bladder infections and had to endure a burning sensation every time she went for a wee.

But five years ago the pain was so bad she couldn't pass water at all and A&E doctors had to drain three litres of urine from her bladder and she was diagnosed with Fowlers Syndrome.

In July last year, because Pollyanna was suffering from bladder spasms so painful she said it was like being in labour, doctors removed her organ.

She has been fitted with a stoma and has an attachable pouch to collect her waste.

Pollyanna, of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, who is unable to work because of her condition, said: "I’d been dealing with bladder infections for as long as I could remember, even as young as about four or five years old.

"For years, I’d have that feeling of desperately needing the loo – but only be able to squeeze out a little dribble when I went.

"Then, aged 18, I suddenly stopped being able to wee all together. It was absolute agony and horrific to face something like that so young. I’ve had to grow up very quickly."

Pollyanna was given antibiotics everytime she suffered a bladder infection but as soon as she stopped taking them the problem returned.

She said: "I’d have to wear incontinence pads to school. I felt disgusting and didn’t tell anybody what was going on. It really affected my confidence.

"I constantly felt desperate for the loo, but I had absolutely no idea what was causing it.

"I thought I was just unlucky, and one of those people that are prone to infections like cystitis, which I know some girls are."

Pollyanna tried everything to cure her symptoms, including cutting out certain foods, but nothing worked.

Pollyanna had a second round of surgery in July 2018, this time to remove her bladder completely.

Now, although the stoma bag is an effective solution, she feels self-conscious especially if it leaks or is visible under her clothes.

And she suffers with kidney pain, where the organs have been left scarred and damaged by the repeated infections.

Bravely speaking out to raise awareness of Fowlers Syndrome, Pollyanna, who says her drastic surgery was “the best decision she has ever made,” as it has freed her from the agonising spasms, said: “I want people to know that urinary retention isn’t normal.

“It may not be Fowlers Syndrome, but it’s better to get it seen to before it gets any worse.

“Far too few people have heard of the condition, so I’m determined to do all I can to raise awareness.”

Former WAG who dreamed of becoming ISIS fighter convicted of funding terrorism

A former WAG who turned to religion after splitting from a Liverpool footballer has been convicted of funding terrorism.

Amaani Noor, 21, married a jihadi fighter online and told him it was ‘her dream’ to join him in war-torn Syria. The former Miss Teen Great Britain star was arrested after sending $45.51 to a Paypal account linked to an Islamist group called The Merciful Hands on May 23, 2018.

She denied knowing or believing that the money may be used for the purposes of terrorism. But a jury at Liverpool Crown Court heard Noor had expressed her support for ‘violent jihad’ and Islamic State terrorists via the encrypted instant messaging service Telegram.

During the trial the court heard how Noor focused on religion after splitting with an LFC footballer, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The player was not named in court but Noor has previously spoken out about her relationship with Sheyi Ojo, who is on loan at Rangers. The jury heard Noor, from Liverpool, had been introduced to Merciful Hands by 28-year-old Victoria Webster who earlier this year pleaded guilty to funding terrorism.

Before sending the money, she received a message from Webster saying a foreign fighter needed help. The message said: ‘The father is a frontliner, and due to his circumstances and debts it’s hard to keep food on the table.’

A minute after sending the cash Noor messaged Webster, saying: ‘So will it go to a brother who is a fighter or ex fighter and has a family?.’ The jury rejected Noor’s explanation that she only intended the money to be used for humanitarian aid.

Diana Wilson, prosecuting, said: ‘It is clear from the context that she did not think she was giving money to support Syrian government forces.’ The court heard Noor supported Sharia Law and kept IS propaganda videos depicting terrorists torturing, executing and beheading victims on her phone.

She said she had both dreams and fears of becoming an ISIS fighter in a deleted email sent to her husband. On the day police searched Noor’s home in July last year, she had flights booked to Turkey, the jury was told.

Giving evidence, Noor told the jury she had been planning to go and join her husband Hakim in Syria, where he said he was an independent fighter, and as their marriage continued she ‘wanted to be with him more’.

The former performing arts student, who had a Youtube channel, said now her marriage to Hakim had ended she felt it was ‘stupid’, ‘bad’ and ‘wrong’. She added: ‘I don’t feel proud or happy about it.’ Sentencing was adjourned after David Gottlieb, defending, asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Danish aid worker rescues another Nigerian child left to die by his family

Humanitarian and Danish aid worker, Anja Ringgren Loven, has rescued another Nigerian child left to die by his family.

She shared photos of herself and her Nigerian husband, David Umem, rescuing the malnourished little boy pictured above who was abandoned by his family.

Anja gained popularity in 2016 after she rescued a severely emaciated 2-year-old boy, who was branded a witch by his family and left to starve to death in Akwa Ibom state. She gained international popularity when pictures of her feeding the starved boy was shared online. She named the boy, “Hope” which she tattooed to her wrists, with an affirmation that there are enough hope and love for all humanity.

No other organization has previously targeted their action against the witch children before Anja Ringgren Lovén took the matter in her own hands and started her non-profit organization. She has made sure that every donation received goes to what they are supposed to: save and help Nigeria’s witch children.

In 2016, Anja Ringgren Lovén was voted the Most Inspiring Person of the Year by German publication “Ooom” in recognition of her distinguished efforts to rescue and rehabilitate Nigerian children accused of being witches.

And now this? God bless her! Nigerians won't see this and give her awards atleast, na to dey give celebrities undeserving YEYE awards.
