#BBNaija's Frodd reminisces on the past couple of years and how he depleted his savings until he had to beg

As the year 2019 comes to an end and a new one is about to begin, former Big Brother Naija reality star, Frodd took to Instagram to reminisce.

He narrated how he came into Lagos from Aba at the start of 2016 with enough money. His plan was to travel abroad in a few months. He got a house in Lekki and also got a car. Soon his savings depleted and he had to move to an area where the houses are cheaper. By 2018, he had little money left and had to move to an even cheaper neighborhood.

He said it got to a point where he had to beg from his more successful friends to survive.

He eventually "embraced God" and spoke positively into his life.

His fortune changed this year after he got into the Big Brother Naija reality show.

He wrote:

I remember Feb 13 2016, I returned to Lagos from Aba with the intentions of spending a few months and leaving the country , then life happened. I can vividly remember staying in lekki phase 1 and driving my first car ? forming Porsche boy , careless as a youth and lost in the minute , my savings went low and I had to move further down to Ikate . I felt cool and in control but I didn’t have a relationship with my creator still and I couldn’t do much for my self and things didn’t improve in 2017 . Again , I had to move further down to sangotedo with intentions to manage my self and grow financially. A lot was beginning to happen all at once and it seemed as if mine was the worst case , I know how much stories of success I heard within this period . Small thing

Bolivia to expel Mexico ambassador, two Spanish diplomats

Bolivia's interim president Jeanine Anez on Monday, December 30, announced that they will be expelling Mexico's ambassador and two Spanish diplomats escalating a dispute over an alleged attempt to extract an ex-government aide.

Anez who gave the diplomats 72 hours to leave the country, accused them of seriously harming the sovereignty and dignity of the people and the constitutional government of Bolivia.

The expelled diplomats include Ambassador of Mexico in Bolivia Maria Teresa Mercado, the charge d'affaires of Spain Cristina Borreguero and the (Spanish) consul Alvaro Fernandez.

The Bolivian interim President said;

"The constitutional government that I preside over has decided to declare persona non grata the ambassador of Mexico in Bolivia, Maria Teresa Mercado, the charge d'affaires of Spain, Cristina Borreguero, and the (Spanish) consul, Alvaro Fernandez."

The announcement came after the Bolivian government accused a Spanish embassy staff of trying to infiltrate the Mexican mission in La Paz with a group of masked men to extract Juan Ramon Quintana, a wanted former aide of ex-president Evo Morales.

Mexico's foreign ministry has however denounced the "political" decision, alleging that it instructed Mercado to return home.

Madrid also categorically denied the claim, saying its riposte was a reaction to "a hostile gesture by the Bolivian government to declare two Spanish diplomats personae non-gratae".

A statement released by the Spanish government reads;

"Spain categorically rejects any insinuation of presumed willingness to interfere in Bolivia's internal political affairs.

"Spain wishes to maintain close relations of friendship and solidarity with the country and brother people of Bolivia," Madrid concluded, urging La Paz to return to a "common-sense path of confidence and cooperation between our two countries."

Former Texas football player Michael Egwuagu caught on camera confessing to killing his pregnant sister

A former University of Texas at San Antonio football player who was arrested for stabbing his pregnant sister to death was caught on a doorbell camera confessing to the crime.

25-year-old Michael Egwuagu was arrested and charged on Friday, December 27, in Pflugerville for killing his 32-year-old sister Jennifer Ebichi.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Austin Statesman, Egwuagu can be heard saying “I killed Jennifer” on footage obtained by a doorbell camera at Ebichi’s home. An autopsy showed that Ebichi was pregnant and was estimated to be in her first trimester.

The arrest affidavit also revealed that Ebichi sent a message to another brother, Martin Egwuagu, and asked him to come to the house because Michael “was at the residence and was having a crisis.”

Martin spoke to Michael in an attempt to calm him down, but before he arrived at the home, he allegedly found his sister’s body. She had been stabbed multiple times and was lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor. He said he heard Ebichi’s young child crying, so he carried the child and took her out of the house.

When he got outside, Martin Egwuagu reportedly found Michael kneeling in the street with his clothes covered in blood. Martin then called police at that point.

When police arrived at the scene, they interviewed a friend of Ebichi’s, who told police that Ebichi had called her and asked her to come to the house. But when she arrived, she heard screaming from inside the house. She told authorities that she saw Michael Egwuagu leave the home holding a bloody kitchen knife. “I killed Jennifer,” he allegedly told her.

Egwuagu then was arrested and charged with murder on Friday night. He was booked into the Travis County Jail with his bond set at $500,000.

Before the murder, Michael Egwuagu was known in the community as a football standout who played safety at UTSA between 2013 and 2016.

He further stated that the reality star came to beg the organization after she was dropped as brand ambassador.

Read the full post below:

You have to listen to me this morning because if you get it, you won’t make the mistakes I made. Today I am sharing on the mistakes of 2019

1. Getting short term investors; from 2016 till 2018, we were not really producing much all we did was sell but the moment we started branching out to lots of locations and producing more products we needed more time. Get investors who can give you at least 1 to 3 years. You will be happier.

2. Getting the wrong investment banker; there are lots of phony people out there who will collect money from you and tell you they can raise money for you. If they can’t show you at least 3 people they have raised money for don’t do business with them.

3. Signing the wrong brand ambassador; I hear people say we let her go because she didn’t support me. The truth is she had been a problem from the very beginning and we had fired her twice before that time. She had to fly to Abuja with her own money for our last event and she came to beg, I am surprised to hear that she left because she was too expensive 🤣🤣🤣We fought every time to get her to even post as an ambassador, you are just a one year old celebrity and you want to be competing with the Senior Prefect @tontolet she also couldn’t get along with anyone, it was always one drama or the other.

When she left and @bammybestowed and @reginadaniels came on board we had peace and so much unity, our creativity also moved to the next level.

4. Delegate, Delegate, Delegate; I suddenly realized that I was running like 5 or more different companies; Sapphire Scents, Sapphire Time, Oju by Sapphire, Sapphire Jewels, Sapphire Apparel etc and it dawned me that I couldn’t cope any more. In 2020 I am hiring 4 managers and a CEO while I focus on making perfumes and promoting the brand.

Mistakes could be painful but that pain sets you straight, you will be smarter next time. Now I know what I wouldn’t do in 2020 and you should learn from this as well.Tag someone who should read this, please share so that others can be blessed as you have been blessed.

Cristiano Ronaldo Drips In Diamonds Worth £630k (N256m) At Dubai Soccer Awards

He's one of the highest paid sports stars in the world and has a penchant for luxury and wearing extravagant bling.

And Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted dripping in dazzling diamonds at a sports conference in Dubai on Saturday, donning a rare Rolex and a women's engagement ring, estimated at £200,000.

The professional footballer, who is no stranger to wearing show-stopping jewellery, was also decked out with a diamond band on his wedding ring finger, valued at £50,000, despite previously quashing rumours he is engaged to girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez.

During a panel at 14th edition of Dubai International Sports Conference, the Juventus player, 34, showed off a Rolex GMT-Master Ice costing £380,000.

It is Rolex's most expensive watches ever made, with 18 Carats white gold and hundreds of 30 Carats of diamonds.

The Portuguese football star was also loaded with an enormous cushion cut yellow canary engagement ring on his middle finger, surrounded by dozens of sparkling diamonds.

Diamond expert Dovi Fehler at London Jeweller valued the ring, which is likely to be custom-made, at an astonishing £200,000.

And to top it off, Ronaldo wore a diamond encrusted eternity ring on his left hand, which Dovi estimated to be worth around £50,000.

The Juventus megastar also owns a rare Franck Muller watch valued at an eye-watering £1.2million.

The watch was described as a 'rare, stunning complication' by Joseph Frost, owner of Frost of London which is the only UK supplier of Franck Muller.

He told Femail: 'Ronaldo is a big fan of the brand and has been seen wearing them regularly.'

It is some upgrade on Ronaldo's wrist after the Portuguese star was previously spotted sporting a £100,000 Jacob and Company limited edition H24 with a total diamond weight of 15.25 carats.

He became a brand ambassador for Jacob&Co back in 2013 while at Real Madrid and is now showing off one of their most expensive assets from the collection.

Ronaldo unsurprisingly blows other star names in football out of the water when it comes to the cost of his watch of choice but he has some catching up to do if he wants the most expensive in the world of sport.

Floyd Mayweather, according to Forbes' calculations, boasts a £14m billionaire diamond tourbillon watch.

It comes after Ronaldo was crowned the highest earning Instagrammer of 2019, earning him £38.2million ($47.8million).

The Portuguese footballer has 195 million followers on Instagram and shares pictures of his sporting success, family and workouts.

Man Takes His Girlfriend To ‘Pastor’ For Money Ritual Where She Got Beheaded

A 42-year-old self-acclaimed pastor, Segun Philip, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing a final year Sociology student of the Lagos State University, Favour Daley-Oladele, for money ritual.

The cleric was arrested alongside a 23-year-old boy, Adeeko Owolabi, said to be the boyfriend of the deceased, who was reported to have left home to an unknown destination since December 8, and has not been seen since then.

She was subsequently reported missing by her parents at Mowe Police Station.

The Ogun police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the arrest on Sunday, said, based on the report, the Divisional Police Officer of Mowe Division, Marvis Jayeola, detailed his detectives to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the 22-year-old girl.

“The detectives went into full scale technical and forensic investigation of the case and their efforts paid off when the movement of the deceased was traced to a white garment church in faraway Ikoyi-Ile in Osun State being pastored by one Segun Philip.

“On getting to the church, the self-acclaimed pastor was promptly arrested but he was quick to inform the detectives that the girl was brought to him by her boyfriend Adeeko Owolabi who was still within the vicinity of the church. The said boyfriend was traced and apprehended immediately.”

Mr Oyeyemi said, on interrogation, Adeeko Owolabi confessed to the police that the deceased was his girlfriend and that he lured her to Ikoyi-Ile where he had perfected plans with the cleric to use her for money-making ritual.

The police said the boyfriend stated further that while the girl was sleeping, the pastor gave him a pestle he used to smash the head of the girl. After this, the pastor quickly used a knife to cut off her neck, ripped open her chest and removed her heart which he used in preparing a concoction for him and his mother to eat, Mr Owolabi reportedly told the police.

Mr Owolabi’s mother was also arrested.

“When asked what pushed him to such devilish act, Owolabi explained that he decided to go into money ritual because things are not going well with his parents economically most especially his mother who used to be the breadwinner of the family; and when he sought for assistance from the pastor, he was asked to bring a human being for that purpose and the available person at that time was his girlfriend,” the police spokesman said.

The Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation.

He vowed to ensure that all the suspects face the full wrath of the law.

'Hunger Almost Killed Me In Hungary' - Footballer, Sani Abacha

The desire to seek greener pastures in Europe among young Nigerian footballers is very common despite the challenges that comes with culture shock due to change of environment.

It is in the light of the above that a young Nigerian teenage footballer has revealed how he almost died in Hungary in the early period he got to the East European nation.

Sani Abacha, the 17 years old Nigerian player that plies his trade with Budapest Honved FC in Hungary said he found it very difficult to eat European foods when he newly arrived the country to play the round leather game.

He exclusively disclosed his shocking experience to our reporter, how the culture shock of the types of foods eaten in Hungary made him to start skipping meals because he found it difficult to eat those foods. He could only manage with bread and tea as breakfast and snacks.

“When i got to Hungary, they gave me foods that i could not eat. I was not comfortable with how the foods tasted in my mouth.

I was only able to eat some snacks, then bread and tea as breakfast,” Abacha told Francis Achi .

“Football is energy sapping and i needed to eat well so as to do well in training.

But i was not eating very well during that period. I thank God that it did not affect my performance on the field,” he added.

“I was feeling sick for about two months. I felt i was dying. I adapted quickly to their weather but it was very difficult for me to adjust to their foods.

In short hunger almost killed me in Hungary that period as i was not able to eat Nigerian foods,” he further said.

“Then i did not know where they sell Nigerian foods, i did not know any African restaurants in Budapest. I was only thinking about football. Well, the story is different now because i know where to eat Nigerian delicacies.

“After about three months, i adjusted to their foods in Hungary and it is now normal for me, but at my early stage in the country, i felt i wanted to die.

“Now i eat their foods and if i feel like eating Nigerian foods, i eat that too.

I normally eat pounded yam and egusi soup once in a while, but i am yet to see or eat tuwo shinkafa in Budapest,” he concluded.

Edo Deputy Governor, Shaibu Takes Over Edo North Political Leadership From Oshiomhole

Philip Shaibu, Edo State deputy governor, has taken over the political leadership of Edo North Senatorial District of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

The APC leaders from the wards and local government areas in Edo North took the decision during an enlarged meeting at Jattu-Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area, which had state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, in attendance.

The decision was taken sequel to the suspension of Comrade Oshiomhole from the ward and local government levels, which recuses him from the party’s activities at the local scene.

The meeting had in attendance the Edo State APC chairman, Mr. Anselm Ojezua; members of the state executive council, as well as party delegates and leaders at wards, local government councils, state and national levels.

Alhaji Usman Shagadi, APC leader from Etsako West, said, “The only leader we know in Edo North is Hon. Philip Shaibu and we support the Obaseki-led administration because it is people-oriented,” echoing the decision of other party executives in the senatorial district.

On his part, Obaseki said, “Oshiomhole thought he was setting a trap when he chose Philip Shaibu as my deputy and Osarodion Ogie as Secretary to the State Government. He was thinking that we will always quarrel, fight and then run to him for settlement.”

Obaseki maintained that the party and its members did not support godfatherism in the state, adding, “If you behave like godfather, we will fight you.”

He added that he attended the meeting to thank the party members for their support for his administration and for standing behind their son, the deputy governor.

Some of the party leaders, who spoke during the meeting, said their loyalty was for the governor and his deputy, even as they expressed support for their reelection for a second term.

Buhari Silent As Defence Minister, Bashir Magashi Is Named In $550,000 Fund Diversion

President Muhammadu Buhari came under heavy criticism yesterday for his failure to act in the alleged indictment of his Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, for a $550,000 security fund diversion. Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu deflected response on the allegation to the office of the Minister of Defence when The Guardian sought the presidency’s reaction on the matter.

Against a groundswell of allegations of cherry-picking on whom to prosecute in his anti-corruption offensive, Buhari is now directly fingered for shielding Magashi, who is accused of stealing and shipping $550,000 from the nation’s treasury to an offshore account. Magashi has been called out to explain his role in the slush amount he received from the infamous ‘Abacha loot’ estimated by Transparency International to be at least $5 billion, out of which $3 billion has been recovered.

Nigerians are incensed that Buhari still ignores the findings in the report. The president’s indisposition to bringing his key appointees to account came to the fore as Shehu maintained that it was not within his purview to respond to everything. “Direct your question to the man (Minister of Defence),” he told The Guardian when asked to respond to this latest allegation against his principal’s defence chief.

A leading online Nigerian newspaper provided more insight to corruption in the Buhari administration as it spotted what appears to be at odds with the administration’s sworn mandate to tackle corruption. It noted that it has been 123 days since Magashi was exposed as having been indicted for stealing and shipping abroad about $550,000 from the nation’s treasury. Yet, Buhari has failed to take action on the indictment.

The newspaper had on August 28 exclusively reported how Magashi, a retired major general, while in service, got a slice of the infamous ‘Abacha Loot.’ The Buhari government has since benefitted from several millions of dollars in returned funds from countries where the money was hidden. At the time, a presidency official, who asked not to be named because he had no permission to grant media interviews, said: “I can tell you that there is no way the president would have ignored that kind of matter to appoint him if he were made aware.”

But 123 days after, many Nigerians feel embarrassed that the president still ignores the findings in the report. Even when the newspaper contacted Garba Shehu before it went public with the report, he did not answer or return multiple calls and text messages sent over two days on why the president had not taken a stance on the allegations.

The silence of Buhari and his inner cabinet is already being interpreted as consistent with the administration’s policy of selective justice. Even critical government agencies which provide background information like the Department of State Services (DSS) have been fingered for turning a blind eye to Magashi’s alleged corrupt past before the Senate confirmed him.

While the presidency is taking a bashing for its allegedly choosy anti-corruption battle, the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) described Buhari as a leader who fights corruption with two different boxing gloves.

Ibuchukwu Ezike, CLO Executive Director told The Guardian yesterday that Nigeria will not win the anti-corruption war with a leader like Buhari who still thinks like a clan leader.

Also, a Warri-based lawyer, Otome Adamidenyo, was emphatic that the administration can only convince Nigerians it is committed to wiping out corruption by looking inwards and bringing to justice members of the Buhari inner circle involved in fleecing the country. On his part, Executive Director, Association of Media Practitioners Against Corruption and Instability (AMPACI), Ayodele Johnson, tasked Buhari to do more to restore public confidence in the anti-corruption battle. “It’s not enough to yell at public gatherings that the government is fighting corruption. Let Buhari arrest and prosecute his appointees indicted for stealing public funds,” said Johnson.

Between Atiku Abubakar And His Son Mustapha After Chelsea And Arsenal’s Match

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and his son Mustapha had a hilarious exchange on Twitter just after Chelsea defeated Arsenal in a premier league match played at Emirates Stadium yesterday December 29.
The Presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party in the 2019 general election was quite happy when Aubameyang opened up the scoreline for Arsenal in the match. He however slowed down after Arsenal lost the match following two quick goals Chelsea players, Jorginho and Tammy Abraham scored
in the last 7 minutes of the match.
Here is the exchange between Atiku Abubakar and his son below;

Buba Galadima: Tinubu Hasn't Done One Percent Of What I Did For Buhari

Alhaji Buba Galadima, a former Presidential Campaign spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was a former National Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC). In this interview with TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI, he gave an assessment of the 2019 general elections and his expectations in 2020 under the Muhammadu Buhari administration. Excerpts:

What are your expectations from the Buhari administration in year 2020?

It is very bleak. I said it is bleak because we are being ruled by a group of people who do not know their left from their right. They are so clueless have no agenda or blueprint for the progress and development of Nigeria. If you are led by a blind man, only God knows where you are going to end. That is the Nigerian situation for now. We are sliding into dictatorship; In fact, I will say we are already in dictatorship regime. We are being taken back to the type of government we had in 1984 and it is very unfortunate.

One of the major highlights of the outgoing year is the 2019 presidential election, between President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP. What is your assessment of the election?

Of course, I was disappointed by the outcome of the election. General Buhari clearly lost that election handsomely but he used his position in authority to get himself elected by force. This fraud was organised by the security agencies and INEC and affirmed by the judiciary. Unfortunately for us, the judiciary is fast losing public confidenc. The security agencies have taken sides over their activities. They never believed that their role and allegiance is to the Nigerian nation and not an individual. We have a crop of security people whose allegiance is to the present ruler. We are all in trouble; unless we have a free and fair election where the votes of the people count, Nigeria will never see development. Because people don’t owe anybody anything and that is the exact behaviour of those in power today.

How will you assess the performance of the judiciary which is regarded as the last hope of the common man in the election?

I find the judiciary working below expectations. Everybody in Nigeria know that election in this part of the country fell short of known standards and the judiciary wasn’t able to remove just one governor. I was shocked that despite all that happened in Kano during the governorship election, the judiciary affirmed the result declared by INEC. Did you see what happened during the rerun election in Kano? Look at what happened in Kogi and Bayelsa. In Kogi and Bayelsa, the winners won in virtually only three local governments in the state. In Bayelsa, the entire state was blocked out. Nobody was hearing anything from Bayelsa; all the airwaves were closed and we didn’t know what was happening in the state until when results were only announced. In fact, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP ) confirmed to the whole world that the gunship helicopter that were shooting at people and the police that were seizing ballot boxes were fake police. The question we should ask is that the same IGP told us that he deployed 35,000 strongmen to do justice to the electoral system in Kogi, yet they could not arrest the fake policemen. I can bet my life that the judiciary can affirm that election. Daily, people are losing confidence in the judiciary. I call on retired justices of the Supreme Court; people who have the interest of justice in their hearts to sit down and constitute a committee to look at some of the pronouncements of the judiciary that were recently done. I will call on the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) that their efforts and knowledge alone no more matters because in electoral laws, there is always a predetermined winner and you go into election with that winner in mind and INEC must justify that the fact and the security agencies contrived the results, INEC announces and the court affirms it. Is that how we will run a civilised country in the 21st century? I feel very disgusted and in fact, I am losing hopw whether in my life, I will ever see a free and fair election in this country.

Having criticised INEC’s role, what do you think can be done to make it better?

We don’t need government to fund INEC at all because we can request donor agencies that will bring materials and pay election officials so that we can have an independent election. If they can’t do that, let them appoint me chairman of INEC, I will get funding for INEC. I don’t need one kobo from the federal government of Nigeria. We don’t need any security person; either police or military to look after our elections.

The President recently said that he will ensure a free, fair election in 2023, do you see that as an indication of hope in future elections?

Do they think Nigerians are gullible people who can differentiate their left from their right? Can you tell me anything that anybody in this government has ever said that comes to pass? As far as I am concerned, Buhari is not sincere. He is just going to use the security forces to ensure that he installs a person of his choice as President of Nigeria. From the look of things, I don’t think he is going to install anybody except himself.

By saying he will install himself in 2023, are you saying he is nursing a Third term agenda?

The signs are there. Look at the House of Representatives and bill seeking single term of six years for current political office holders. Some gullible Nigerians are saying the bill was thrown out but that is not true. Even though the Bill was thrown out by majority of the lawmakers, the Deputy Speaker in his ruling said this issue has been set aside. What that means is that it can be re-presented. That is what many people don’t understand. But according to the rules of the House, that issue is dead and cannot be brought up again. This people are serious about perpetuating themselves in power and unless we speak up and fight for our rights, we are finished as a country.

What is your grudge with the bill ?

My grudge is that if the bill is passed, those in authority today will benefit from it. I attended the 1987 Constituent Assembly, 1994 Constitutional conference and I also attended the 2014 national conference during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. I have always stood against a single term for any elected public officer, be it local government, governor or President. My belief is that the electorate must be given the opportunity to throw out bad governments at every stage after four years. I still stand by that and I am ready to debate with anybody on this issue anytime.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) believes that the US government was rightly justified to have included Nigeria on a special watchlist for religious persecution but the Presidency disagreed with it. What is your perspective on that?

Let me begin with a Hausa proverb. A blind man is walking and somebody on the sidewalk tells him be careful, there is a big pithole in front of you. Then the blind man turned to him and said ‘if there is no pithole, what brought about the issue of a pithole?’ Now, if we are being put on a watchlist for anything by the world, if we are not guilty, why does it bother us? If you accuse me of being a rogue, if I am not one, why will it bother me? That was why I used the Hausa proverb to justify my argument. If they put Nigeria on the list of corrupt people or religious bigot, this government is the architect of its own problem and distraction. They shocked the world through their nepotism and sectional appointments. These are things that are calling for the pressure from those who felt they were sidelined to cry for marginalisation on the basis of their ethnicity, on the basis of their religion or on the basis of where they come from. If the government has a large heart and believes that from every corner of this country, you can find competent people that reflects federal character, they will make Nigerians feel that this country belong to all of us. Then, there will be no problem. Nobody will call for putting Nigeria on watchlist on the basis of religion or ethnicity. That is the situation we find ourselves. In fact, we are yet to see what other foreign organisations will tag Nigeria by the time this tenure ends.

Some associates of former Vice- President Atiku Abubakar are asking him to contest again in 2023, alleging that he is the most popular politician in Nigeria after President Buhari. Given the fact that Buhari will not contest in 2023, will you advise Atiku to throw his hat into the ring?

Anybody can be asked to contest. People can ask me to contest. When the time comes and when we get to the river, we will know how to cross. Every Nigerian is eligible to contest but getting there is what matters.

What is your assessment of the leadership of the 9th national assembly?

Nigerians should lock up their heads in their toilets and start crying because we now have a unity of purpose between the National Assembly, the judiciary and the executive. The other two are under the armpit of the executive. There is complete deprivation of our freedom because all of them are now working for the executive. Do you believe we have a free judiciary or a rubber stamp national assembly whose leader says once anything is brought before him by Buhari, he will approve it and can even support Buhari for life presidency? Have you seen anything whether right or wrong that the executive has interest in and the judiciary decides otherwise? We are in trouble in this country but Nigerians are acting as if it doesn’t matter.

Some Nigerians also believe that PDP is not living up to its role as the major opposition political party. They are also worred about the rift between Governor Nyesom Wike and Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa. Are you also worried about that ?

Why should I be worried? That is democracy for you. Are we fighting for PDP? I am not fighting for the PDP; I am fighting for the betterment of Nigeria. So, the PDP is only one of the vehicles and if the actors have decided to ruin themselves, that is their business. But I believe that Nigeria is for all of us and the issue is not about party but who is contesting for election in Nigeria. Does he possess the blueprint and ideas needed to move this country forward? That is what we should be looking for.

There are rumours of Bola Tinubu nursing a presidential ambition to succeed Buhari in 2023. Do you think he has anything to offer the country?

The likes of Tinubu are only waiting for their final pay. Anybody who has helped Buhari should cry because he will experience what some of us have come across. Buhari has never rewarded loyalty or anything positive. Has Tinubu assisted Buhari one percent of what I have done? I sacrificed my life and blood for 16 years. I was arrested 38 times, tried for treason and thrown into prison. But what is my reward? Can’t Tinubu use the man in front to measure the depth of the river? Have you ever heard Buhari say ‘thank you’ to anyone? Has he ever separated a fight? So, anyone expecting a favour from Buhari in return is only wasting his time.

Do you see an implosion in APC before 2023?

They know what we don’t know. I know for a fact that APC is divided into three factions. There is the Tinubu group, the El-Rufai group and the Aso Villa group. The Aso Villa group itself is also divided into three. So, it is in our interest that they continue to disagree and fight. That is our freedom. We have nothing to lose except our chains.

What advice do you have for Nigerians?

The advice I have for Nigerians is that any other party is better than this government or any member of this government. Nigerians should know that the trial of one man today should also be their own trial because like the Germans did during the Fascist regime. When the Fascist came, every German said they are not Communist or Socialist, So, they were being killed and annihilated by the Fascist. When they came for the Union, Germans said they are not Union people and so they have nothing to do with them. they finished with the Union. But when they came for the Church, every German left and there was nobody to fight for them. There was nobody to protect or to fight for them. So, this is what is happening. Yesterday, it was Dasuki and Sowore, today it is Sheikh El-Zakzaky, tomorrow is it Dadinyata, next tomorrow, it will be Agba Jalingo. This government will incarcerate and silence all of us one by one and then write results for themselves by using the military in 2023 and then bring the worst dictator ever to visit the shores of Nigeria.

What do you think we can do?

We can do is very simple. Let’s cry out to the outside world. There is nobody that this government fears on earth like the Whiteman. I made an appearance on television on Monday. On Tuesday, the American ambassador visited Buhari and he was forced to release Sowore and Dasuki, shivering and apologising to the Americans. That shows you the level of fear he has for the Whiteman more than God.

Kwara State Government Takes Over Land Used By Saraki Family In Ilorin

The land was originally meant for government secretariat, the state government says.
According to reports, the land is situated right in front of late Dr Olusola Saraki’s residence. The Kwara state government says it has taken over a piece of land being used by the family of Saraki in Ilorin. This was disclosed in a press release by the chief press secretary to Kwara governor, Rafiu Ajakaiye on Friday, December 27, 2019.
According to him, a new secretariat would be built on the land. He also disclosed that the land was originally meant for government secretariat and parking space of the civil service clinic.
He added that the land was unlawfully allocated to a private firm, Asa Investments Limited, without any record of payment to the state government.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that part of the land, situated beside the civil service clinic, is also right in front of late Dr Olusola Saraki’s residence.
NAN also reports that late Saraki built a house and named it ‘Ile Arugbo’ (elderly peoples’ home).
According to the statement, no certificate of occupancy was issued in favour of the firm.
