“I stuck with my education to the end” Avril speaks on her pursuit for a Degree despite living in servant quarters

Kenyan singer-songwriter, Avril discourages campus babes from dropping their education, just to go for all sorts of distractions in their youthful life.

Speaking to NTV’s show host, Dr King’ori the ‘Kitoko’ singer revealed that despite having ventured into the lucrative music industry, she ensured she completed her University studies first.

Further revealing that she did not live an adorable lifestyle while in campus but what mattered most was attaining her degree.

I stuck with my education to the end, living in a servant quarter with my younger brother, but made sure I got my degree.

She is talented, that is no doubt! And even though people felt she should fully pursue music and push her studies aside, that was not her spirit at the time.

Interestingly, she lived the kind of life that campus students still live to date.

I used that coil – used for cooking in campus- for 4 years and studied design.

Mid-way her University studies, she decided to record her debut single ‘Mama’ as a signee with Ogopa label.

Till date, her music career has been blooming.
