Boot Camp for 385 Juvenile offenders under the Nigeria Prison

In a continuous attempt to advocate for prison reform in Nigeria, Nigerian Musician/Global Prison Ambassador Lamboginny hosted the second edition of the BOYS TO MEN BOOT CAMP for juvenile offenders under the Nigeria prison in Abeokuta, Ogun state on the 6th of June 2019. They were a total of 385 boys in the correctional facility with 235 of them awaiting trials and are between the ages of 12,13,14 to 18.  The purpose of the boot camp was to motivate the young boys to believe in themselves and encourage them to embrace a positive behavioral character which will instrumental upon their return to the society. Also to create awareness on some of the basic tools they need for corrections which are not available to them at the moment.

We want to specially thank our partners and guest speakers for coming out to support the program. Thank you to the project coordinator Amaka Destiny of Amakisskiss Foundation and to all our guest speakers/facilitators thank you; Ms. Cynthia Mosunmola Umoru, Destiny Amaka(Project Coordinator), Hon. Lamiju Alao Akala, Korede Bello, Chidinma ,Toyin Lawani ,Small Doctor, MR Bayo Adeyinka ( Regional manager south west fidelity Bank), Kemen (Big Brother Africa), Mr Steve Okeleji (Aquatic Hub), Queen Ronny, Ikemefuna Cyril Ede, Benie Macaulay, Olamide Olaitan and Nikita Waffles. Thank you to the Controller of prisons in-charge of the facility Mrs. Jemilehin  and the Public relation officer of the facility Mr Yusuf. We want to also help renovate the following areas of the facility which is a very bad condition: The clinic,The library and equip their vocational spaces with needed tools but we can't do it alone.
