Both Ambode, Tinubu Are Culprits; God About Liberating Lagosians – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Lagos State chapter on said it is not surprised by the developments in the Lagos APC saying God wants to rescue Lagosians from Tinubu’s grip.

Speaking with Daily Independent, Dr. Adegbola Dominic, the state chairman of the party said the unholy alliance between Ambode and Tinubu has finally come to an end having committed a lot of atrocities together in the past.

“Ambode happens to be another tool in the hands of Tinubu. Tinubu has been using them like that to commit atrocities in Lagos State. He used others before him so we didn’t expect anything less from Tinubu. They should solve their problems between themselves”.

“Ambode was Auditor-General when Tinubu was perpetrating all the atrocities and he was covering up for him. They were both committing atrocities together. Tinubu handed over Lagos state to him expecting him to continue to cover his tracks”.

“Ambode has done that to some extent and now the relationship has gone sour now. Both of them are culprits but let’s see how it turn.I think God is coming to the aid of Lagosians . Tinubu is having a taste of his pudding” he said.

Lagos APC; Sanwo-olu Reacts After Ambode's Allegations Against Him

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, whom was declared unfit to govern the state by governor Akin Ambode, has responded to the scathing allegations made the incumbent leader.

Mr Ambode, who has been in the eye of the storm, stated this while addressing a press conference at Government House, Alausa, Ikeja.

He said the aspirant was arrested for spending fake dollars in the United States and had undergone rehabilitation at Gbagada General Hospital in Lagos.

The governor also appealed to the leadership of the APC in Lagos to act in the interest of the development of Lagos.

Femi Gbajabiamila & Other Lagos Lawmakers Visit Jide Sanwo-olu, Endorse Him

Reps Majority Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila led Lagos Federal Lawmakers to Jide Sanwo-Olu home, endorsed his aspiration for Governor.

Tinubu Releases Lagos Governorship Primary Statement After Ambode's Explosive Comment

1. Tomorrow, our party and the people of Lagos will have an encounter with destiny. We shall hold our governorship primary.

2. With the holding of direct primaries to elect governorship candidates in Lagos and other states, the APC takes a groundbreaking step toward greater internal democracy and progressive governance for the benefit of all people.

3. While our party is young, it has grown fast and has travelled far in a short time. This speaks well of the character of you, the party’s rank-and-file members. What, in other nations, has taken political parties generations to achieve, we have done in a few brief years.

4. No other party in Nigeria dare attempt what we have already dedicated ourselves to do. I thank and commend all APC members and all Lagosians who have lent their support to this historic and humane mission upon which our party has embarked.

5. We are democrats in the truest sense of the word. As such, we forever search for what is good and right for the people. With this ideal as our guide, tomorrow’s primary cannot be shaded by selfish ambition or the perceived personal grievance between this or that person.

6. Something much greater waits in the balance. What is at stake is nothing less than the future of the people of this state and how we can best maximise our collective destiny. By resort to direct primaries, the party places the people’s future soundly in their hands.

7. As democracy would have it, you shall be the authors of the party’s nomination and hopefully our next state government. I trust in the wisdom of the people and will abide it. However, as a leader of the party and as a former governor of our beloved and excellent Lagos,

8. I would be remiss if I did not make a few observations regarding the primary. My goal is and shall always be a better Lagos. To this objective, I have dedicated the greater part of my public life.

9. Roughly 20 years ago, a corps of dedicated and patriotic Lagosians, put aside personal interests and rivalries, to put their minds and best ideas together for the good of the state.

10. Out of this collaborative effort, was born a master plan for economic development that would improve the daily lives of our people. Bestowed on me was the honour of a lifetime when I was elected to be your governor in 1999. My administration faithfully implemented that plan.

11. The government of my immediate successor, Tunde Fashola, also honoured this enlightened plan. Where state government remained true to that blueprint, positive things happened.

12. During my tenure and Governor Fashola’s, Lagos state recorded improvements in all aspects of our collective existence, from public health to public sanitation, from education to social services, from the administration of justice to the cleaning of storm and sewage drains.

13. Businesses, large and small, invested, hired millions of workers and thrived. All Lagosians were to fully participate and justly benefit from the social dividends and improvements wrought by this plan.

14. From the common labourer, to business leaders, to professionals and our industrious civil service. We all were to be partners in a monumental but joint enterprise.

15. None was to be alienated. None was to be left out. And none were to be pushed aside. This is especially true for those who contributed so much to our development, whether as a business leader who has invested heavily in Lagos...

16. the homeowner who struggles to pay his fair share of taxes or as someone employed in the hard work of keeping our streets and byways clean so that others may go about their daily tasks unimpeded.

17. I make no pretence that the master plan is perfect. It can always be fine-tuned. However, whenever a government departed from this plan without compelling reason, the state and its people have borne the painful consequence of the improper departure.

18. I am encouraged by the emergence of a candidate in this primary who has served the state in senior positions in my administration, the Fashola administration and even in the current one.

19. While possessing a wealth of experience and exposure, he is a young man endowed with superlative vision and commitment. Most importantly, he understands the importance of the blueprint for development...

20. ...He esteems it as a reliable and well-conceived vehicle for the future development of the state. He also knows the value of reaching out and working with others in order to maximize development and provide people the best leadership possible.

21. We walk into this primary strong and confidently believing in the right course we are to take. We shall emerge from this primary even stronger and more confident that we have taken that course by returning Lagos and our party to their finest path.

My Pastor’s Message Pushed Me Into Acting - Theresa Edem Isemin

I was born in Akwa Ibom State. I am from a family of five – with three brothers and a step sister. My dad died when I was nine-year-old but my mum is still here with us. As a kid, I was very inventive and creative. I had a highly imaginative side and was a fast reader. Though I was reserved, I would still play rough with my brothers at home. At school, I was shy and always kept the play for home. Because I was the only girl; resulting from my parents waiting a long time to have me, I was very well-pampered. As a kid, I had many ambitions. I wanted to be a pilot, and then, an air hostess, an aeronautic engineer and even a musician. I guess I got the love of air from my dad who worked in the aviation line as well.

For my elementary education, I attended Hillside International Nursery school, Uyo and St. Mary’s Science College, Abak, for my secondary education. Both schools are in Akwa Ibom State. I also attended Federal University of Technology, Owerri, where I studied Animal Science and Technology. I wish I had studied Theatre Arts in the university instead. I took the next available course that the university had to offer because I didn’t want to sit at home.

I’ve always acted. I used to tell stories to the kids around me and in church. I used to act everywhere except on a professional platform. The first time it hit me that I should pursue acting, it was in church when the pastor said we could make money from our passion. At the time, I was managing a fitness company in Akwa Ibom State and on hearing that, I quit my job and moved to Lagos to pursue my acting career, seeing that Lagos was the best place to skyrocket. This was in 2012. Prior to that, I had acted in a movie with my church where I played the role of a journalist. It was titled Take Back Your Throne.

Starting out, I thought it’d be easy but it wasn’t; it was hectic. I would wake up sometimes at 4am to go for auditions. Also, I was coming from a job where I had an official car and driver but I had to leave all that behind and move to Lagos. I had to start boarding buses to move around. It was quite uneasy for me. My mum used to even persuade me to move back to Akwa Ibom but I refused. Also, back then, the treatment I got wasn’t deserving of a thumbs-up but now, with my management, things have changed. Even now, I still face some challenges. The pay is not encouraging.

When I moved to Lagos, I enrolled at the Royal Arts Academy where I played my first role in a movie professionally. It was called Mrs. Somebody, where I had just one scene, and following that, I acted in After the Proposal, where I played the supporting female. Because I was a student, I found it rather overwhelming and nerve-racking but exciting, overall. Going to Royal Arts Academy was to harness my talent and turn it into a skill.

Parent’s reaction

When I told my mother my plans to go into acting full-time, she was shocked and appalled. But through it all, she’s been supportive. When I moved to Lagos and had to survive without a job, my mother maintained an upkeep for me till I had my feet steady on the ground.

I’d say After the Proposal, which was produced by Uduak Isong and directed by Desmond Elliot, the other major one was Tinsel, where I stood in as Angela.

Right now, I’m on one of the flagship shows on Mnet titled Forbidden and I play the lead female. I have some great films coming out in the cinemas this year and the next. I’m also considering producing my own films in earnest. I produced a short film titled Eno which has been picked up by some film festivals. I also feel drawn towards directing and may like to explore it in the future.

I met my husband when I was 16. Because my brother was handy with electrical items, my husband had come to fix his video game in our house and that’s where we met. On that day, my brother wasn’t around and he had to wait for him to get back. It was the wait that made us talk and we gradually became best friends and still are till date. He’s an IT consultant. Marriage has been great and although I do not sell perfection, I’ve been enjoying every moment of it. My husband is supportive of my career. We discuss my roles and he helps me prepare.

Role models

As funny as this sounds, Beyonce is my biggest influence; even though she’s not much of an actor. I admire her for her drive, hustle and professionalism. She’s not just a glamour girl, she’s also a hard worker. Also, I can never tell my story without Emem and Uduak Isong. I also admire Genevieve Nnaji, Mildred Okwo and Toni Tones.

I read a lot and I like to watch movies, preferably with a glass of wine. I also like to play video games. I love to cook. I cook traditional dishes while my husband is the intercontinental chef.

Anything that’s comfortable is what I like to wear. Comfort determines what I wear.

"I Am Worth Over N300 Million" - Toyin Lawani Talks Scandals, Business & Marriage

Serial entrepreneur and celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani, has revealed she is worth more than N300 million.

She made the revelation in an interview with Funke Olaode, where she talked about her business, sex scandals and success. Read excerpts below...

You have about 30 enterprises under the same roof. What is your winning formula? How is that possible?

Yes, it is doable. Because nobody can do it alone and when you realise you can do it alone then you won’t crash. You have to get professionals, different managers to man different departments who will report to you and you can go back to sleep. I don’t joke with my creativity. I am the creative director behind Elegante by Tiannah. My passion makes it easy for me; because when you have a passion for what you are doing things usually become successful.

Is it true Tiannah Empire is worth over N300 million?

It is very true! It is not money that I pumped in once so that I don’t scare other young people who might want to toe my line of businesses. I started my business with N150,000 at the age of 16 in 1998. The business has been able to move itself up to this level. So you can start small and look for a mega business that will bring massive money. My work has been able to get me huge money from working with individuals and companies because of my creative ideas and ability to maintain high standards.

When a man succeeds he is praised. But when a woman succeeds she is accused of using ‘bottom power’. How do you think women can change the narrative?

Women like me make people change their minds and work hard. People tell me how I inspire them and how watching Tiannah Empire Reality Show has changed their lives. Most men feel that they are the breadwinners and most of the time when women succeed on their own they still ascribe that success to men – which is not true. Believe me, women sometimes are the one pulling themselves down by making snide remarks that there must be a man pumping money for their fellow women to succeed or achieve this or that. I will say to women out there that want to chase their dreams to forge on regardless of marriage because if a man loves you he will support you and push you to greatness.

You have had your fair share of scandals. How do you handle them particularly those that are not true?

Most times it is always very painful when you read things about yourself that are not true. And you know you work very hard to inspire others and people choose to give you bad a bad name. Most times I feel like addressing them especially the ones that have to do with my children. Most people don’t put their kids out there. But I put mine out there because they are destined for greatness. They have their own talent for acting, music, etc. And if they grow up and say that is what they want to do I will give them my blessing. Like I said earlier, I respond to those that have to do with my kids. I can only urge people not to believe everything they read on the internet which can either be negative or positive. To answer your question, scandals don’t get to me. And what you say about people does not define them.

But on many occasions the scandals are self-inflicted. Like when you said marriage is not a priority.

Yes. I repeat it marriage is not a priority. Most people feel like those who are single mums like me are cursed or we’re not to be respected. I speak to several families and even have people that I impact their lives. Do you know how many salaries that I pay every month? Some men cannot do that. I pay almost 100 people salary every month. Then you will now tell me that because you are married you’re better than me. You that are in your husband’s house and being fed and at the same time being slapped every day. If you are contributing to that family do you think they will be slapping you every day? We all learn from experience. I have been married before but because I wanted something more for myself I was able to leave the marriage and chase my dreams.

But there was a rumour that the father of your son, Lord Trigg, proposed and marriage was in the offing before it fizzled out.

I have only been married once in my life. I decided to leave the second relationship because it wasn’t working for me. I have shown him (Lord Trigg) severally that we can co-parent without being enemies.

People thought the relationship failed due to the huge age difference between you two. Is that correct?

It is not because of the age difference. Age has never been a problem between us. Can’t you see how sexy I look? Do you think any man would see me and wouldn’t want to die? Oh my God! We were both in love. It wasn’t even a societal pressure. But a personal decision because it wasn’t what I wanted for myself. I have learnt my lesson that when I have anything coming up I am not going to put it in the press.

If Mr. Right shows up, will you consider marriage again?

Why not? So far that Mr. Right is going to help me achieve my dreams, supports me in my late night work etc. You know what? It is even hard for some people to support your dream because they feel you are supposed to be a mum, stay at home breast-feeding (babies). I played my role well as a wife. I cooked for him and took care of my home. I make sure that I do everything but he has to support my passion, if that is what will give me joy. But most men want their wives to stay at home and just be a mum. I have exposed my children to my business and I take them along. My daughter knows everything that I do. I can be so intimidating. I have been with someone who is far richer than me and I have been with someone that I am far richer than.

You set the internet on fire recently with a semi-nude photo you in a bathtub posted online. Why did you go to that extent to advertise a beauty product?

If I didn’t do that how do I convince my customers that the product is working? That wasn’t a nude photograph. Did you not see my hands across my chest with my products in-between? Just small thing and everybody was shouting. You know I schooled abroad where I learnt about beauty. I am very exposed and don’t see it as a big deal. Meanwhile, when Beyoncé does it they will be hailing her – or even Rihanna. People should just go and sit down because they are hypocrites.

You mean you don’t have any regrets?
What regrets? I am making money. You better look out for my next photographs. When people see my skin sparkling come and see the way they rush to get my products. I use strictly Tiannah Beauty Glow products. I don’t joke with my herbal magic polish. My black soap, my scrub –everything is Tiannah’s Glow.

Then you have tattoos in strategic places.

Yes. They are my children’s names and I carry them everywhere I go.

Lagos 2019: Osinbajo Denies Endorsing Sanwo-olu

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has not endorsed Lagos APC gubernatorial aspirant Jide Sanwo-Olu who is contesting the ticket against incumbent Governor Akinwumi Ambode, it has been learnt.

Sources close to the Vice President said this in reaction to photographs of Osinbajo, the APC gubernatorial challenger and Kunle Hamzat, another APC governorship aspirant widely published on social media platforms on Saturday.

Contrary to the impression convened in the photograph, sources close to the Vice-President insisted that he has not endorsed anyone in the Lagos APC primary Saturday night, according to reports by Per Second news.

“Nor has the vice-president “approved any pictures, ads or mailers that might be perceived as an endorsement,” the source said.

“Vice President Yemi Osinbajo today attended a meeting of the Lagos State General Advisory Council, GAC, where he had been invited by the elders on the council, he said.

“Before the meeting, the Vice President who had been in Lagos to participate in the Presidential primaries in the State had met with Governors Akinwunmi Ambode and the APC National Leader Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“APC gubernatorial aspirants Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Kunle Hamzat were also at the premises of the GAC meeting ahead of the Vice President’s arrival.

“It was while he was coming out of the meeting that Mr. Sanwo-Olu and Mr. Hamzat took advantage of the VP’S presence to take the photos which are now being falsely paraded as proof of endorsement.

“The VP did not go to endorse the candidate, they only took advantage of his presence,” the source said of the circumstances in which the pictures were taken.

Party Primaries: NANS Disassociate Itself From Babajide Sanwo-olu

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has disassociated itself from the purported report of endorsing Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State in 2019.

The party shifted its governorship primary election to Monday.

The association made its position known following a report that a coalition of youth associations and student groups, under the auspices of Sanwo-Olu Youths and Students’ Campaign Organisation. on Saturday expressed support for the aspirant.

In a statement in Abuja on Sunday, the President of NANS, Mr Danielson Akpan, said: “NANS feels embarrassed by this act of impersonation as this goes to show the level of desperation of the characters involved in the act.’’

According to him, no man worth his onions will tow the part of bringing to disrepute the image of an independent organisation like NANS in order to score cheap political popularity and mislead the public.

“The attention of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has been drawn to a purported endorsement of Hon. Jide Sanwo-Olu as the flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the party’s primary scheduled to hold tomorrow.

“We read this report in the media on https:///xBuuzeoCs9 and https:///UKgF7IMzHw with rude shock.

“NANS as an association is aware that primaries are on-going in various political parties and as a pressure group that is committed to the overall development of the country at large is studying the situation.

“NANS will make its decision known based on the interest of its members, which is majorly educational development and rightfully direct them in fulfilling their civic responsibility,’’ Akpan said.

He urged organisations and members of the public to be wary of individuals impersonating the Office of the President or any other officers of NANS to extort or defraud, especially at this political period.
He also called on the security agencies to help curtail the activities of such fraudsters.

Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Lagos state, says Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his opponent in the race to secure the ticket of the APC in 2019, is not fit.

Addressing a press conference at government house, Alausa, Ikeja, on Sunday, Ambode said Sanwo-Olu was arrested for fraud in the US.

His words:
“We have never responded to the campaign of calumny on social media. We have one family in APC. The aspirant being put up to compete against us is not a fit and proper person to take this job.

I have done everything in the last three and half years to serve people selflessly and to serve the poor.

This particular aspirant is somebody that has been arrested for spending fake dollars in a nightclub in America, and he has been detained for months.

He doesn’t have the competence to do what he is being propelled to do. This is somebody that has gone for rehabilitation before. The records are there at the Gbagada General Hospital. we don’t want to go to far. Our leadership should have a rethink.

I plead with our leaders to have a rethink, It is not about me, it is about the opportunity that APC has.”

Nigeria Must Do More To Fight Poverty - Pastor Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said the recent report that Nigeria is the poorest in the world is the hypocrisy of the West against Africans.

However, he said it should propel Nigerian leaders to do more in the fight against corruption and fighting poverty. According to a report by Punch, Adeboye stated this recently in Lagos at a special prayer and thanksgiving service organised by the RCCG National Headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish.  The cleric said western countries also had the “poorest of the poor” among them but oftentimes were underreported.

He said, “you will move round some so-called developed countries and one will be shocked by the level of poverty that the people are experiencing.”

Adeboye, who spoke through his Assistant General Overseer, Personnel and Administration, Pastor Johnson Odesola, asked, “Who is doing the categorisation of developed countries and some undeveloped countries. It is the opinion of the few people whose facts can be contested. When they talk, they talk about the things that favour them and they want us to continue in the trajectory that our system is failing so that they will continue to benefit from our failures.”

Still, he urged the government at all levels to use the report as an opportunity to double their fight against the scourge of poverty and inequality ravaging our country.

The Arole Oodua/Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has returned from his seclusion after moving into ILEDI house at Iremo quaters in Ile-Ife last Sunday where he was incommunicado in an annual 7-day seclusion to kick-start the 2018 Olojo festival.

Ooni Adeyeye, ended the 7-day seclusion on Saturday (today) as he’s set to appear to the public with the Oduduwa’s sacred AARE CROWN traditionally worn once in a year by the Ooni.

The Ooni said that the 7-day seclusion was used as a point of contact to the Almighty Olodumare (GOD) praying for the Kingdom of Ile-Ife, State of Osun and the entire Nigeria for a new dawn of
socio-economic advancement.

Further, he congratulated the government and people of the State of Osun for conducting themselves maturely before, during and after last Saturday’s governorship election.

The Ooni praised the politicians of all the political parties for their decorum, he lauded the security agents for their unbiased display of professionalism and appreciated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting the Osun gubernatorial election free, fair and credible.

Only Genuine Love Can Change The World – T.B. Joshua

It was American author, Dan Pearce, who said, “People love to say, ‘I love that person even though…’ But let’s be honest. Genuine love is never followed with the words ‘even though”. The word ‘even though’ depicts the existence of reservation even as we try everything possible to mask it.

In the face of political and socio-economic differences in multi ethnic and religious entities like Nigeria, only a pretender will submit that we truly love ourselves without reservations. Some schools of thought suggest that we do lack genuine love and have merely been tolerating ourselves.

All over the world, it has been different stories of humanitarian crises. And according to the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, about 68.5 million children, women and men are currently displaced by spiraling crises around the world. The Agency equally posited that every 2 seconds someone was uprooted and forced to flee due to violence, conflict or persecution around the world.

In recent times, Africa with our country Nigeria has been plagued by all manner of humanitarian crises. Now entering its ninth year, the crisis in North-East Nigeria has created vulnerabilities and humanitarian concerns, since the first Boko Haram insurgency in 2009. While scaled-up and fast response by aid groups and the Government helped avert the threat of famine in 2017, food insecurity and malnutrition remain high owing to the depredation of the conflict. An estimated 7.7 million people are in acute need of protection and assistance. The conflict in the Lake Chad Basin has displaced around 2.2 million people; 1.6 million in Nigeria’s NorthEast alone. Hundreds of thousands of Nigerians have fled to neighbouring Chad, Cameroon and Niger. Sexual violence, including rape, is a defining characteristic of the ongoing conflict, with 6 out of 10 women in the northeast having experienced one or more forms of gender-based violence (GBV).

It is believed that if we tried to provide some forms of care no matter how infinitesimal, that the effects of these crises on Africans would have been very minimal. The question is: Do we genuinely love our fellow Africans especially children, women and men affected by these crises? Or are we now immune to their feelings and welfare because of the frequency of outbreak of crisis? Crisis can erupt in the East, West, North or South, just anywhere in the world regardless of race, tribe or tongue.

The international humanitarian system has made significant progress towards greater coherence in response coordination, learning from past responses to large-scale disasters.

But Prophet T.B. Joshua believes that genuine love is the only tonic needed to achieve greater change in Nigeria and around the world.

The General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations said that genuine love certainly does not discriminate against background, class or ethnicity. And if just as low as 30% of Nigerians show genuine love and concern, that unimaginable change can and will be experienced not only in solving humanitarian crises but in other areas of our national life.

In the words of Prophet T.B. Joshua, “Looking the other way when your brother is in need is equal to rejecting God Himself”. He said that when we see our contribution to others no matter how infinitesimal as an assignment from God, that is when our contribution can solve problems. Some weeks ago in one of his sermons, he explained that nobody prays for earthquakes, typhoons, fire outbreaks, insurgency or flooding and they can come without warning causing irreplaceable loss of lives, extreme damage to infrastructure and displacement of communities. He posited that the effects of the aforementioned can be cushioned by our showing genuine love to those affected by providing essential relief in the areas needed most, including healthcare, shelter and foodstuff.

In line with his summation on the extension of genuine love, Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV team of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, have at different times in various locations across the globe provided succour to people who were affected by natural disasters, flooding, fire outbreaks and most recently victims of insurgency.

Across Africa, Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV team have over time reached out to all sectors of the society, including prisons and correctional facilities. In the prisons, they have donated different materials in order to maintain hygienic and safe environment thereby assisting in the prisons’ mission of rehabilitation and reformation. Relentless in the mission of spreading genuine love, they have visited hospitals across the continent with messages of hope to patients and provided them with materials, equipment and even ambulances to aid movement in emergency situations.

P.M.EXPRESS findings showed that Prophet T.B. Joshua and his team have equally contributed to the maintenance of law and order in different countries. They have assisted in the provision of brand new operational vehicles, motorcycles, helmets, reflective jackets and other security gadgets to the local police.

Inspired and driven by genuine love, the Prophet with his team of evangelists, pastors, lawyers, teachers, engineers, doctors, nurses, entrepreneurs and others has continued to sacrifice time, effort, finances, knowledge and everything they can muster in their mission of love.

In the North Eastern part of Nigeria, there are thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) seeking refuge as they flee from the violence that has engulfed much of that part of the country, largely due to the activities of Boko Haram. With their homes reduced to rubbles, their workplaces deserted and their relatives among the casualties of the crises, young and old alike from conflict zones are gathered in IDP camps. They never planned for such as most escaped with only the clothes on their backs. They needed to be shown genuine love in the form of medical attention, foodstuff, proper shelter and messages of hope. Government alone cannot effectively provide all these but our little efforts can go a long way to ameliorate their plight.

Seeing the plight of these innocent victims, T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV team did not look the other way. They have at different times demonstrated genuine love in their visits to the affected areas; they have donated food items, clothes, and drugs and equally provided money for clinics to address the rampant sicknesses in the camps which were major concerns. In their bid to bring comfort to those affected by insurgency and civil unrest, the Emmanuel TV team travels to far Northern states of Nigeria including Borno, Jos, Adamawa, Kaduna, Abuja, Yobe and other places. T.B. Joshua personally leads the team in loading the trailers with thousands of relief materials in readiness for the humanitarian mission and they reach out to underprivileged communities hardest hit by the harsh conditions of lack and loss.

P.M.EXPRESS can submit that wherever you find Prophet T.B. Joshua and his Emmanuel TV team, there is a need being met, a problem being solved, a skill being developed, a family being reconciled and a life being transformed.

It has been an unprecedented and a revolutionary story of genuine love that overcomes obstacles, transforms communities and rewrites histories. It goes to show that genuine love truly has a language that transcends all languages, distances and barriers and our nation can indeed witness the desired change if we imbibe the spirit of love as being demonstrated by the Prophet and his team. Let’s begin to see our lives as solutions to people in need.
